Roku Terrible warranty and don't back product , Internet

I purchased a new Roku 2 XS from Best Buy last summer. We use it everyday in our home entertainment center.

This week it developed a problem. It shut off and never turned back on. I did some research and found that there is ONLY a 90 day warranty. This is a terrible warranty. I called their customer service and was told flat out that I am screwed. He mentioned that I could have bought 2 year extended warranty. Why would I spend money on a extended warranty when the product make it past a year?

If Roku says they make a reliable product why not stand behind it with a one year warranty like many other reputable manufacturers?

This is a warning to watch out when buying this product.
