Shop NBC has a number of watches being sold at well below wholesale prices. How can this be? If a watch is being sold at less than 50% of retail, then the retail price must be vastly inflated. Shop NBC's watches are supposedly brand new, but they are taking part in a scam of overpricing watches so they can be sold at a discount.
Corum, Invicta, and Girard Perregaux are only but a few of the watch companies taking part in this scam. Xemex, Croton, and Lucien Piccard are others. There are many companies doing this on the internet. They need to be shut down for ripping us off of our hard earned money.
Rolex and Patek Philippe and TAG Heuer run their own kinds of scams. It does not take a year to manufacture a Rolex. Why are these thieves allowed to do this?? How can they use Chinese parts and call their products "Swiss Made?"

The entire world of watch making and selling is a big fraud. From manipulation of big auction houses to manipulation of ebay and acting like they are non-profit, the whole industry is a big scam. You've undoubtedly heard about the Jaquet story. Look at all of the corruption. All of these watch companies must be shut down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please help me stop all of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's get together and do a class action lawsuit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Montres Patek Philippe SA is a watch company comprised of executives who make huge salaries while cheating you of your hard earned dollars by misrepresenting their products as Swiss Made and acting like they are a company with integrity. Their sales people lie to you and their service is horrible. Their president is a billionaire because of this scam and their employees make some of the largest salaries you can imagine and this is sickening, but the fact that they cheat you and me is horrible. Patek Philippe uses hundreds of different names on ebay to bid up the prices of Patek Philippe watches on ebay in order to control secondary market pricing. They also are suspected of bidding up the prices of their watches at auction houses like Christies, Sothebys, and others to drive the prices up into the millions on some of their watches. Nearly 100% of the time, they don't complete the transactions, and the sellers are forced to list the items again and again -- thus perpetuating the market pricing control and appearance that their items are being sold for much higher dollar amounts than they actually would have been if a real buyer would have completed the transaction. .

They hide behind aliases so they can lie to people and not be held accountable as well as giving the appearance Patek Philippe is a much more powerful company. Patek Philippe higher-ups run several watch-related forums, posting messages under fake names so they can praise Patek Philippe watches and again lend the appearance that many watch aficionados really love these junk watches. There are too many to keep track of or know about.

The watches they sell are assembled in Hong Kong and China in addition to Switzerland using some Chinese components -- but they don't mention the fact that they use these components in their watches. They want you to believe their watches are all assembled by hand in Switzerland using 100% Swiss components and that it takes one year to make a Patek Philippe. Ask anybody in the world in the watchmaking business, and they will tell you that there is no way that Patek Philippees can take anywhere near that long to assemble. Patek Philippe pumps out almost 1,000,000 junk watches per year.

They claim the watches are assembled in Switzerland, but only some of them are. Independent studies have shown that balance wheels, hairsprings, bridges, screws, mainsprings, crowns, and other components are manufactured in China. These components have the exact same specs as the ones used in Patek Philippees and an insider who is very upset with these business practices has been contacting everybody he can to tell them of this fraud.

This makes it obvious that everyone who bought the earler cheaper models were totally ripped-off, too. They have several models which they pay as little as $15.00 dollars for and then claim it sells at retail from $1,500.00 up to $100,000 dollars. They sell them on through retail stores and on ebay claiming it to be a promotion to retain value in the age of the internet (behind the scenes of course). This promo has run for over 4 years! You should be paying much less for these cheap watches, but Patek Philippe is artifically keeping prices very high in order to steal your hard earned money.

Also note that Patek Philippe claims there are many counterfeit Patek Philippe watches out there. How can they be counterfeit if they come from the same company that supplies Patek Philippe their watches? I sincerely doubt the company sells Patek Philippe a great movement and sells everyone else a duplicate piece of crap. Look at all of the replicas on the streets that look and run exactly like Patek Philippe. Patek Philippe helped develop them. Then they shut down street merchants in order to get free publicity in "raids."

When a customer asks about all the bad press on the internet about Patek Philippe, Patek Philippe conveniently claims everyone who has negative statements are simply disgruntled people from the past who are trying to make trouble for them because they didn't get a good enough deal. Patek Philippe is a mafia styled organization. This is a ridiculous assertion, the truth is there are many people who know these watches are a scam and are trying to help inform others.

Patek Philippe successfully fooled millions of people making hundreds of millions of dollars. They have enough ill gotten money to buy advertising in an attempt to look more legitimate. They frequently refer people to magazines in which they have placed ads. Keep in mind that it doesn't matter what publication they are in, it is simply paid advertising. Anyone with the money can get into these same magazines.

If you bought any Patek Philippe watch take it to be appraised and learn for yourself. Then contact us and we'll help do something about it. These models in particular are definitely using China components.

Do a search on Google for Patek Philippe replicas to see many fake Patek Philippees produced by Patek Philippe and sold all over the world. You can find Chinese sources for genuine Patek Philippe products, and now Patek Philippe has just invested millions of dollars to build new factories/service centers in mainland China. They are stealing your hard earned money, so please be ware and help us stop this scam.

This is a very serious scam and these Rolex thieves should be shut down immediately.

Montres Rolex SA is a watch company comprised of Patrick Heiniger and other executives who make huge salaries while cheating you of your hard earned dollars by misrepresenting their products as Swiss Made and acting like they are a non-profit organization. This is a very serious scam and these RGM thieves should be shut down immediately.

RGM is a watch company comprised of Roland G. Murphy and a few flunkies who make huge salaries while cheating you of your hard earned dollars by misrepresenting their products as Swiss Made and acting like they are a company with integrity. Their sales people lie to you and their service is horrible. Their founder Roland G. Murphy has gotten rich because of this scam and their employees make some of the largest salaries you can imagine and this is sickening, but the fact that they cheat you and me is horrible. RGM higher-ups run several watch-related forums, posting messages under fake names so they can praise RGM watches and again lend the appearance that many watch aficionados really love these junk watches.

They charge several thousand dollars for ETA 2892-2 movements in a number of their watches. These movements maybe cost $100 and the cases are stainless steel. Where's the value? People are being tricked out of their hard earned money. There are too many to keep track of or know about.

The watches they sell are assembled in Hong Kong and China in addition to the US and Switzerland using some Chinese components -- but they don't mention the fact that they use these components in their watches. They want you to believe their watches are all assembled by hand in the US 100% Swiss components and that it takes expert watchmakers to make a RGM watch. This simply isn't true.

Ask anybody in the world in the watchmaking business, and they will tell you that there is no way that RGMs can be using the highest quality components. They claim the watches are assembled in the US, but only some of them are. I am in the business

#5Consumer Comment

I am in the Swiss Watch Business. I do not work for any companies in the report. I am independant, self employed.

I can honestly say that the report contains many lies.

Just a few:

Swiss law says a certain % of the total parts of the watch must made made in switzerland. The watch must be assembled in switzerland. Inspecetd in Switzerland. Al this must happen before it can be legally be stamped SWISS MADE.

So the part about the watches being assembeled in asia is a total lie. Only the cheap knock off watches are made in asia.

You say patek bids up listinsg on ebay, this is impossible, ebay has many systems in place to track IP numbers and patterns on ebay. Accounts woudl be shut down, address's black listed etc. Not to mention them doing that woudl be against federal law. there have been cases (not on watches) where people have had bid schilling rings on ebay and federal prosecutors sent people to prison.

Also Patek hates the internet. they dont want any watches on ebay. Patek is almost impossible to get new in the secondary market. Patek has been known to buy watches off ebay that are new to get serial # so they can shut down the authorized dealer that is backdooring the product through grey market.

I didnt even read the whole report,...it was so full of lies i couldnt read it all.

I am in top 200 ebay sellers on the country, I have eaten dinner with the CEO of ebay. Trust me, they have too many systems in place to catch bid schillers, people that try only get away with it for a very short time.

You say prices are a rip off....its simple econimics. Shupply and demand....people are paying teh price for teh watches...if not teh compnay woudl go out of business. If noone was buying the product, the compnay would lower prices. The demand is so huge for quality swiss made timepieces.

Plus when these watches are made in Switzerland most of the brands are handmade, put together by hand. Handsewn crocodiel straps etc.

I will agree that Rolex is way overated, there are many swiss brands you can buy for less $$ that are better quaility. Rolex is a status symbol, if you want the symbol you have to pay...like driving a Bentley if you want to drive one you have to pay otherwise you dont get it.

But basically there whole report was obviously from and upset former employee that really knwos nothing about the business.

Purely desperate post by Terry Allisn/Aelison

This report as well as any other report made about any one other than Montres Allison or Terry Allison are not made by the same Scott of Black Hawk who only posts about MA/TA. I have no problem with any other reputable watchmaker out there.

This pathetic report was created only after MR. Allison found out I had information about him using a fake name to rip-off thousands of dollars from creditors. If I were going to file a report on every watch maker in the world, I would be creative enough to write new material instead of inserting new watch names into the existing copy I wrote when I posted on Montres Allison. Also, I would not have added such a long winded bunch of crap so clearly the style of Mr. Allison. Terry Allison realizes, out of desperation, that he must clutter up the reports and create as much confusion as he can and to distract the documentation I have showing his previous scam.

I have put plenty of time and energy posting info on Terry, Linda, and the rest of that odious bunch and have never hidden from nor denied this. Does it make sense that I would take the time to write an asinine diatribe of irrelevancies about every watch maker out there to post on ripoffreport only to deny it a day or two later? Besides, I like some of the watch brands mentioned, I even have email corespondance with Mr. Roland Murphy of RGM concerning RGM designing a watch for me as well as Mr. Allison's plagerized history page from RGM's site.

Below is the report that has Terry Allison concerned enough to post erroneously as me.
http://www.ripoffreport.com/report70003.htm

The links are removed right from that report right now, but hopefully ripoffreport puts them back up. If not, I will get the info out another way.

I respect the intelligence of the readers and am certain this will fool nobody. Please continue to draw attention to yourselves, Allison crooks!

Terry Allison Strikes Again

#5UPDATE EX-employee responds

Mon, October 27, 2003

This report is yet more work of Terry Allison, the owner of Montres Allison. He has concocted it to attempt to undermine the previous reports filed by "Scott" of Black Hawk, CO. Mr. Allison thinks making it appear Scott is lashing out nonsensically at other legitimate watch manufacturers will tanrish his credibility, his reports will be undermined and Montres Allison will appear more legitmate as a consequence. Nothing could be further from the truth.

If you simply take a moment to examine the writing style of this fraudulent fraud report, you will notice that it is not at all like the writing found in Scott's earlier reports about Montres Allison. The writing style and content is remarkably similar to some of the feverishly schizophrenic responses to Scott's report and the other fruad reports about Montres Allison. This is because Mr. Allison is responsible for all of the responses claiming to be made by satisfied customers and is alos responsible for this fraud report.

Terry Allison's tendency to assume many and varied personalities on the internet to shill for Montres Allison is well known and well documented. Just check out the discussion forums that pretend to discuss Montres Allison. It might strike you as odd how feverish and insistent the supposed supporters of Montres Allison are. It is not odd at all when you realize that all the posts are written by Mr. Allison himself. There is no limit to how low he will stoop in an effort to promote his cheaply made, fraudulently promoted and ridiculously inflated watches.

If you are interested in getting good information about Montres Allison watches, just ask a question about them on TimeZone.com. They are an independent website of collectors and enthusiasts with no hidden agenda and will give you the straight facts.

Nice try Terry.

The supposed complaintant is "Scott" from Black Hawk, CO. If you search for some of the Rip-Off Reports on Montres Allison, you'll see that Scott from Black Hawk is behind several of them.

This latest report is not written in the same style as "Scott"'s other reports at all and is, in fact, written in the schizophrenic, ranting style of Terry Allison, the owner of Montres Allison, himself. It's really lucky for all of us that he is not capable of properly disguising his "voice" when impersonating others.

The point behind writing such a report as "Scott" is that if it sounds insane, ranting about all kinds of legitimate watch companies, it will undermine "Scott"'s credibility and his attacks on Montres Allison. The end result being that it makes Montres Allison look more legitimate.

This is the same kind of completely unscrupulous, borderline psychotic bahavior Terry Allison is famous for all over the web. His mudslinging, lies, schizophrenic use of public forums to spread disinformation, and general utter lack of ethics, good business practices or even common decency are legendary. He is a conman of the least creative, most pitiful type and will do and say anything to keep his latest shell-game going. Don't buy into it!
