I went to the office in tampa and I sign up agreemeent for a period of 12 months for a non refundable fee of $400.00. I have the first meeting and provide the feedback and they never reply to me and try to get in touch with the company with not result. So I went to the office and I find out they move and no address and phone number where I can locate this company.

Myself and others have used this great company and have found someone. You must have a personality problem. If things were so bad in life you probably need to see a counselor. Now, I am going to have a cup of coffee with the man I love and have met through this wonderful service. Have a nice day Annette. Oh, I know of an Annette who also has found someone through them too. Hello Jan, I am that person name of Lorenzo though my birth name is Lawrence. I found your comment that "you don't know who that Lawrence or Lorenzo is though they should be sued for slander" very stupid! How interesting coming from a person whom I've never met and we certainly don't know each other. Everything I've posted in my earlier comments is true and accurate. Yes I was a previous resident of Florida living in the Tampa Bay area from 2005 through 2009 and I was contacted several times by Romance Pros back in 2007 and 2008. I have done my research about this so called dating service online including the Better Business Bureau and previous members have filed many complaints about this dating/singles service which I still consider a scam and a ripoff operation. You have claimed that you know of at at least 12 couples who have met and married through Tampa Singles?! Really, sounds like a crock of crap to me! You have obviously fabricated this number and I find your comments very ridiculous to believe. I am entitled to my opinion as are you and I have never, ever been a member of either Romance Pros nor Tampa Singles and as of this year I no longer reside in Florida. I have relocated to the southwest to the state of New Mexico and I have since changed my phone number as well. What you failed to explain is just why did Tampa Singles have to change its name from Romance Pros and why did they relocate in the first place? I personally do not know anyone who is acquianted with this business nor do I know anyone else who is a currentmember. As I have posted previously Romance Pros contacted me for the last time back in Oct. 2008 and I had told them that I was not to be contacted at all. Since then I have not heard from them up through the time I moved out of the state.

Since you are a member you obviously claim to be happy and I am certain that you

have paid a ridiculous amount of funds to join their ranks! Good for you if you are

happy with your membership and I am very glad that I never bought into their

"scam and ripoffs." By the way I can say anything I want about any business

including Tampa Singles so shut the hell up Jan!

Actually all of us were sent emails and called when the company became Tampa Singles.

Surprising enough, Annette actually started to date with Tampa Singles after this report and is now in a relationship through one of her matches.

Not sure who Lawrence or Lorenzo are but they should be sued for slander.

I know of at least 12 couples married just last year alone.

Cool Right!

The people at Tampa Singles are Pretty nice and know what they are doing.

If anyone belongs to them as a member, just go through the system. I too found my guy through them and have been with him for two years. Oh! i am very happy too!

Romance Pros Is Now Tampa Singles!

Annette,

I just did an internet search and the business formerly known as Romance Pros is

now called Tampa Singles. The new phone number is (813) 262-1120. I called

the number and a woman who did not give her name answered and when I

told her I was calling for Romance Pros she told me they are now known as

Tampa Singles. You could also find the listing just by googling the old name.

And they also have an office in Sarasota with that number listed. Whomever

is in charge obviously did not post their new phone number and address

when they moved out of the old location. My guess is they did this intentionally

and why I really don't know. You've mentioned in your complaint that when

you went to the office they had moved and there was no new contact

number or address posted. These people are obviously still running a scam

and ripoff type of business and I wish that the Florida Attorney General's

office would do an investigation and try to put them out of business for good!

This is all I have to share with you and good luck in pursuing your refund if

you've not already been able to get your $400 back.

Annette,

I'm both angry and sorry to have read of your experience with Romance Pros. They

used to contact me in the recent past to come into their office in Tampa for an

interview. The last time someone from the business called me was back in

October of 2008. I'd told the lady that I'd already told them six months earlier

that I did not want to be contacted. And she told me that she was unaware of

the previous phone call. It turned out that sometimes they lag in deleting

people's contact information and since then I've not been contacted by them.

I've never gone into the Tampa office to interview as I'd done my homework

on Romance Pros. They have had dozens of complaints posted on Ripoff Report

and they also have been accused by both members and former employees of

running a "scam/ripoff business". The salespeople are apparently working on a

quota basis in regards to signing up new members. And I understand that

the management is very pushy and they train the staff to be the same. And

the sales staff is working on a commission system so the more new members

they are able to recruit then the bigger their paychecks. I would therefore

file an official complaint with the attorney general's office of Florida. And

you should also file a grievance with your credit card issuer in order to get

a refund. Even if you should locate the new office of Romance Pros I would

not complain to them directly in order to obtain a refund for your $400.

They will just try to stall you and make false promises in order for you to

remain a member. These people are vultures in the truest sense of the

word and have you ever noticed that the business doesn't ever advertise

in the general media? They know that it is a huge scam and ripoff and so

they prefer to keep a low profile. Even the website is very vague and

doesn't give much information at all. By the way Romance Pros does

obtain individual's contact information by way of scoping out the popular

online dating/singles sites such as EHarmony, Match.com and others. If

you've posted your own information on any of these sites then you are

fair game for these vultures. I know this because I filed a complaint back

in 2008 on Ripoff Report and I got a rebuttal from a former staffer. She

told me that this is how they obtain phone numbers of single people.

and I do hope you are able to get a refund. Please do post here with

your results.
