Ron Tonkin's Auto Acceptance, Matt Cobos, Ron Tonkin Chevrolet after this company checked my credit reports and told me I was approved for a loan amount of 8,000.00 dollars I found a vehicle that I wanted other than the ones that they suggested and they told me that I COULD NOT buy the one that I picked out myself, that I could only buy the ones that THEY offered even though I offered to pay the difference from the price of the car minus the loan amount! After Ron Tonkin's auto acceptance checked my credit reports and informed the salesman (Matt Cobos) at Ron Tonkin Chevrolet in Portland, Oregon that I was approved for an 8,000.00 dollar loan, I tried to buy a 2003 volkswagen jetta stock# PHY1389 that was listed at 9,999.00 dollars. I wanted to use my 8,000.00 dollar loan amount and I was going to pay 1,999.00 in cash for this car. Matt cobos told me that I could not buy this car, even if all the money offered, including the 8,000.00 loan from auto acceptance and my 1,999.00 in cash added up to the price of the car advertised on their web site! I feel that this is a deceptive and fraudulent act perpetrated by ron tonkin acceptance corporation, and ron tonkin chevrolet.
I was told by Matt Cobos, the salesman at ron tonkin chevrolet that my loan approval amount from ron tonkin auto acceptance corp. was 8,000.00, but essentially I could not use that loan amount in the same way that american currency is used as we know it! extremely disgruntled
