This company arrived at their job (an apartment building) late and decided to make the residents pay. First while taking out the trash they informed me that they would be throwing debris onto the ground around the building and I was being given a heads up for "legal purposes" just in case a nail went through my foot.

They did indeed fling debris everywhere-all around on the ground, onto ledges for flower boxes, and onto AC units. I watched haze come into my apartment through the AC and listened as pieces of the popcorm ceiling fell around me. Their noise went on for hours.

Almost 8pm and I asked them when they would finish. They responded with a smart aleck comment about me wanting my roof to leak, I asked for peace and quiet! I reminded them they had been here all day and it was almost 8 pm. They were very unsympathetic and rude, guestimating when they would be done before finally telling me "they'll finish when they finish". Finally the police got them to stop a little after 9 pm.

They had a permit to work until 8 and admitted to the officer that they arrived late and were behind schedule. The officer said he would have found it very annoying and he gave me the company information to make a complaint. It was practially dark out and the police officer had to tell them to clean up their mess!

This company slacked off, showed up late, and couldn't get the job done in time. They trashed the area around the building and the exterior ledges and AC units are covered in debris. It took the police to make them stop banging away into the night! And it took the police to remind them of their permit restrictions and to make them clean up.

One person in the company even followed me into the building aftr I came back in from greeting the officer and tried to get me to confront her in the hallway! The officer asked them to stop hanging out and chatting (for most of the day one person worked while the rest kinda chilled out) and told them to speed up there work so people could get some rest for the evening.

I feel everyone should know about their work ethics to avoid these rude slackers from accosting you at your home or business. You can also avoid damage and dangerous debris (watch your feet or its your fault if a nail goes through it!) in your gardens and driveways. Can you imagine they expect people to park their cars back there now? And who knows if they will actually honor their permit or the deadlines for the project. They have serious attitudes and it's not like you can talk to them-they may even try to charge you before you get to your door!
