Room Store ripoff on 18th Century Style Bedroom Set Westminster Maryland
In November of 2001 we purchased the 18th Century style cherry veneer finish bedroom set. Here we are only 18 months later and 8 1/2 months pregnant laying face first on the bedroom floor at the headboard because the bed completely snapped into two pieces.
When my husband called the Roomstore of Westminster, Maryland Darby, the store manager, said oh well tough luck but you have had the bedroom set over a year and it doesn't matter what happens, but here is a number to call to have someone fix the bed at your expense. Well needless to say I was not about to pay anyone to fix anything when I fell while being 8 1/2 months pregnant in a defective product that they will not claim responsibility for.
The whole set is a piece of crap and has been from day one...the store can not do anything or get anything correct. It all started from delivery when they came back to my house 4 times just trying to get things that actually worked and were the correct pieces. I will never again purchase funiture at the Roomstore because they are inconsiderate of their customers and they do not back up their products.
I think that their mission statement for their store should be "To be the number one rip-off conartist in the furniture business." They sure would not have a problem reaching their goal from year to year or month to month.
