Roommateclick.com ripoff. The site uses a negative enrollment program New York New York
Roommateclick.com is a scam. I agree with the other posting that it is a message board where both parties pay the $39 price tag to communicate.
The worst part is their Q&A states that they automatically "renew" your membership based on what you had signed up as. But you sign up for the $5.95 daily price and get hit the next day for a $39 monthly fee. I guarantee 95% of their apartment hunters cancel only after they get hit with the unexpected fee and the letter below:
Dear [member name],
Your Full Access Membership has been extended to Oct 8 2005 4:45PM. Your account was automatically renewed for an amount of $39.95.
Your extended membership allows you continued access to exclusive benefits like hotlist, full contact privileges, maps, advanced searching and more.
If you would like to cancel auto-renewal billing, click on deactivate and select 'cancel billing only'. For questions or concerns about billing, please see our customer support section and terms of use.
