Rooms To Go Issues with warranty replacement ripoff Austin Texas
I own a simmons bed set, which was determined to be defective by a RTG technician. I was notified that I could reselect a mattress for equal value or less.
The mattress I own is a simmons beautyrest. For the price I paid I am not even able to get one of the low end mattress Nature's Bed. I was told to go into the store to reselect within a 2 week timeframe.
I went into the store and was told that the simmons i presently own is equivalent to the new low end simmons model. It looks the same, just has a price difference of about $150. According RTG Associate, this mattress is pretty much equivalent to the Beautyrest I own.
In the store they would not be able to do anything as for pricing or adjustments.
I called customer service on several occasions. I would get the run arounds. I would ask for a supervisor, there is noone available. I would leave my #, they would never call. I called and was informed that the supervisor tried calling, which was not the case. I would notice missed calls on my cell or work #. LIE!
RTG has not offered anything but for me to pay out of pocket for the difference. I feel its not warranted to pay extra for the same product. For one this is a manufacters warranty. Non prorated warranty. I should be able to get a simmons mattress since there is a defect in the product.
Customer Service at RTG is a no go. I decided to call Simmons directly and got the run arounds. I even said that it seems that I might have to seek legal counsel. They could care less.
Now I am faced with a decision of what to do. I am not capable of paying a substantial amount in order to stay within the same product line. I feel like they are wanting to replace a mercedes with a kia.
I am lost. I dont know what to do. I am a student. I had purchased the simmons beautyrest and it has a 5 inch dip in it. Not due to support. Manufacturing defect...got ample support through frame.
Should I just go get the Nature's Bed? Replacement does not account for inflation. It just regards the actual price u paid for a certain item. I feel that this has been a very bad experience so far. Any feedback would be highly appreciated.
