Rooms To Go purchased my college daughter 3 rooms of furniture. one piece was a red sleeper couch cost of 1000. Immeiately we noted the red dye from the couch and chair was bleeding onto our clothes. Dallas Texas
purchased our college daughter three rooms of apartment furniture. two pieces was a red sleeper couch and matching oversized chair. Immediately we noted the red dye from the couch and chair was bleeding onto our clothes. all whites became pink. several times we attempted to get anything done, replacement, sealer, exchange.
the management was very rude. stated if we had paid the extra money to have the items "sealed" (described at purchase to us as preventing stains from setting in") then they could have exchanged the couch.
we went back to the store several times. spoke to several management personnel. they became increasingly rude and absoultely refused to give us any solution. we still have the furniture, have a throw blanket over to protect our clothing. and
we will never shop at rooms to go again. The fee for "treating" the furniture was around $100.each.
if we had been told it would prevent the colors from bleeding we would have chosen to do this as this was a small amount compared to the purchase price of over 1000.
The option was described as for stain proofing only.
The trauma of arguing with these people as they tag teamed us caused us to give up.
However, they lost us as a customer and we want to warn other buyers of this same deceptive practice.
