My husband and I purchased a sofa and loveseat and paid cash for it in June 2001. In November 2001 we contacted them about problems we were having with the material and workmanship. It was December before a representative came to our home to look at it. He said then he would file his report and someone would call us within 5 business days. January 2002 rolled around and we still hadn't heard from anyone at the service center, so we called them. They said they could not access our paperwork and they would have someone call us. Two days later a woman named Tamika called and left a message saying the number we left was incorrect.

My husband returned Tamika's call the next day. She said the report showed "customer damage". The throw pillow are literally coming apart at the seams, there is a tear underneath the cushions and the seams are starting to come apart on top of the cushions. Tamika was totally off-base and unwilling to hear our side of the story. She should be released from her duties. She is only a supervisor and she made it clear this issue would not go beyond her. That's where she is WRONG!!!

After visiting a RTG outlet and seeing the quality of their merchandise, we should have know better than to go into a store and purchase anything. Potential customers, please beware. Don't fall into their trap where they are offering "No payments of interest" for 2 years. The furniture will not be worth having around by the time the payments become due.

I bought a living room suite 5 yrs ago from Rooms to Go and also paid cash for it. It has held up wonderfully. I have an 11 yr old and a 7 pound dog that hasn't been easy on it either. I wouldn't say NEVER buying anything from RTG, some of thier stuff is great stuff. As far as the Customer Service Rep, you can always get a hold of a bad one with any company.
