As a recent home owner I decided to furnish my new home with a comfortable and elegant couch to enjoy for entertaining and watching TV. My experience with Rooms to Go was minimal, however I had never heard any complaints from family or friends whom had purchased items from them in the past and decided to give Rooms To Go a try.

My experience while deciding on which couch to purchase was satisfactory and went fairly smooth. The sectional was a great addition to my new home and I was happy with the purchase, that was until it began falling apart on me. I had never seen a leather couch begin to deteriorate the way this sectional did and I was extremely disappointed.

My next step was to go into the store that sold this sectional to me and hope there was a solution, especially since this occured about a year after the purchase. When I was in store and spoke to a customer service representative, I was treated poorly and told there was no solution for this problem, as the warranty I purchased with this sectional did not cover this sort of damage.

I believed after investing almost $3,000 ($2,980.28 to be exact) on a leather sectional that I was in fact recieving furniture that would not have to be replaced due to manufacturing damages for quite some time. I was highly dissatified and felt deceived after discovering that this sectional was not actual leather, but bonded leather. If this information was disclosed to me from the very begining, then I would have done my research on bonded leather and not proceeded with the purchase of this sectional.

Rooms To Go should be ashamed to be associated with manufactures that produce these furniture pieces, as they are less than subpar and cannot even withstand a year of use without falling apart. Should Rooms To Go Corporate have knowlegde that these couches are not actual leather, then associates should be trained to know the difference and explain this to customers.
