Complaint Review: Roomster

Roomster Roomster Corporation Fake Roommate Ads, Scam Internet

Its difficult enough to search for a room as it is. These time wasting scum bags just want to further dilute craigslist to get us to pay them.

I'd been been looking for a room and responding to a few postings on Craigslist only to find out after that they are fake postings placed by employees of roomster. After replying with my phone number I received a text requesting that I visit a website, the URL of the site was not even a roomster address but it landed at the roomster registration page.

I would never trust a company that intentionally makes false statements to get me to go to their website.

Independent Roomster Affiliates Are Responsible For Fake Craigslist "Room available" Posts

This is an update to my original Roomster report.

After doing some addtional homework it appears that what's really going on is independent affiliates are posting to get people to sign up. I cannot speak to any experience with Roomster's service but I judge it to be another in a line of fear based mediation tools that charge people to purchase the illusion of security in order to rent out a room.
