Susan Marsh got a remanufactured engine installed by Rosedale Auto and was supposed to get a rebate. After the installation of the engine Ms Marsh tried to obtain the rebate and was instructed she had to write/contact the company from where they got the engine, Jasper Engines and Transmissions (815 Wernsing Rd, PO Box 650, Jasper, IN 47547-0650; phone 812-482-1041).

No response was obtained from Jasper Engines and Transmissions. The rebate was supposed to be for a little over $100.00. Rosedale Auto Service Inc. has not assisted further with this matter.

WHY WOULD WE OFFER TO DO THIS IF WE WERE HIDING THINGS? ALLEN, AS A PREVIOUS EMPLOYEE, I AM SURE YOU ARE ALSO AWARE THAT OVER 3000 PEOPLE VISIT US A YEAR.

IF IT WAS ALL IN BAD REVIEW THEN WHY WOULD WE CONTINUE TO DO THIS TODAY? ALSO, THE AGE OF THE EQUIPMENT SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE. MANY LARGE CORPORATIONS INVEST HUGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY ON EQUIPMENT TO LAST FOR OVER SEVERAL YEARS.

AS LONG AS IT PERFORMS THE TASKS AND COMPLETES THESE TASKS WITHIN PROPER REGULATIONS, THERE IS NO UPDATING NEEDED. OUR QUALITY RELIES ON THE OPERATORS AND THE MACHINISTS.

SURE, WE COULD BRING IN BRAND NEW EQUIPMENT TO USE BUT WITHOUT THE PROPER ASSOCIATES TO RUN THEM, QUALITY WOULD NOT BE ANY BETTER AND THE NEW PIECE OF EQUIPMENT WOULD SIMPLY BE AN ORNATE FLOOR DECORATION.

IF JASPER SEES AN AREA THAT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT DUE TO OUTDATED EQUIPMENT, THEY WILL BRING IT IN. RESEARCH IS ALWAYS GOING ON TO VERIFY THE QUALITY, DURABILITY, AND CONSISTANCY OF THE RESULTS OF THE POTENTIAL EQUIPMENT OFFERED THROUGH MANY VENDORS PRIOR TO ANY PURCHASE.

I Have Contacted Rosedale, they gave me the run-around and told me it was not their problem

There were countless times I contacted Rosedale Repairs for assistance and they gave me the run-around and told me it was not their problem that I must write to Jasper. I have written to Jasper and gotten no response whatsoever.

No one from Rosedale has talked to ANYONE in my family concerning this matter.

My husband is a trainer at jasper engines and has not been there very long. He was upset about things inside the company when he first started working there, but rather than quitting, he has tried to do something about it, including working overtime to fix mistakes made by people who obviously didn't care about their job in the first place. He has helped get people replaced and has made sure that the people coming in have gotten trained to do their job properly. Since working there, his department has gone a year without recordable injuries, and OSHA is very impressed with their safety measures. The machines may be "outdated", but I worked at a machine shop using pre-WWI machines that had been converted to electricity, and I know that it is NOT the machine, it is the person running them that puts out good products.Maybe Allen wasn't a good enough machine operator to be able to do his job on those machines. I have toured the plant in Jasper, and the machines that I saw were alot newer and in better shape, well maintained than the ones that I used to run, and we still put out quality machined parts for companies like Ryobi, PK USA, and other large companies. Allen, before you start pointing fingers, what did you do to try to improve the situation at JET?

If you have ever seen Jasper Engines facility, it is a grand and glorys place. Very fancy and a great show. The company president places his greatest value on "perception". Thus, the exorbant investment in appearance (including the Nascar). The truth is, the term should be deception. While spending a fortune on appearances, the machinery is old and substandard to today's demands. Do not expect justice from these people. They call themselves a Christin corporation. Using Christ name to further support their deciption. Forget your money, you are one who spoke-up, but there are hundreds or more that just gave-up. This is how they work, and they are very wealthy. Sorry for your experience. I no longer work for them, I feel much better about myself. I'm only sorry I was ever a part of their schemes.

To the shop; birds of a feather, flock together. I hope you know what you are doing. You could have stepped-up and helped. It appears, you and Jasper belong together. Customers Beware

In Responce To The Complaint Of Rosedale Auto Service & Jasper Engines. We at Rosedale take pride in using Jasper products their quality and warranty are excellant.

In reference to SUSAN MARSH'S COMPLAINT WE AT ROSEDALE HAD NO IDEA THAT SHE WAS EVEN WAITING FOR A REBATE, NO-ONE HERE AT ROSEDALE WAS CONTACTED IN REFERENCE TO THIS MATTER.

WE TRIED CONTACTING MRS MARSH SINCE READING THIS REPORT AND SPOKE TO FAMILY MEMBERS.

THAT CONVERSATION WAS NOT VERY PRODUCTIVE AND WE HAVE NOT YET HEARD BACK FROM MRS MARSH. BEFORE BEING CONSIDERED A RIP-OFF THE COMPANY SHOULD BE ADVISED OF A PROBLEM.

WE WOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY TO ASSIST MRS MARSH WITH HER REBATE ISSUES SHE CHOSE TO KEEP SECRET FROM US AT ROSEDALE AUTO.
