Rosen Entertainment Car DVD Game Consoles Internet
Rosen DVD/Game consoles:
1. Were told by dealer & Rosen Installation system was normally $2,000 and could get 1/2 off because purchasing vehicle. (system only $1,000 according to Rosen phone support)
2. DVDs constantly stick and come out days later when starting vehicle
3. DVD stuck and still not comming out (1 month)
4. Called Rosen, $450 flat fee to fix machine (no matter what according to Rosen phone support)
5. Took to repair shop, told "yeah these things are crap! See this problem with this brand many times, not worth fixing, recommend using as monitor only)
Just a bad experience all around with this company
Not illegal, just would recommend buying their products or depending on their quality or service

1. So you're telling me that since I didn't stop and compare prices while buying the vehicle what similar units should cost I am not allowed to complain. It was an add-on while purchasing a vehicle that was added to the financing. They price gouge through the dealerships and it's my fault. This is America brother; if I got taken I'm going to let anyone know who will listen.
2. It was installed on a 1 year old used vehicle. "If you really have a Rosen system" what does that mean? The name is on the unit smartass. The 1 month was how long the disk was stuck in the player this time, not how long I had the SUV.
3. It was put in by an authorized Rosen installer and we had proof of purchase. It was installed by according to the Ford Dealership the only authorized dealer in the area so I'm guess it was you which would explain why you're so defensive and aggressive.
4. The repair shop didn't sell mobile DVD's, never have. They sell high end electronics and repair some. Trying to fix it would have been the only money they could have made but he was honest.
5. It was installed in my driveway so you tell me.
Actually I sent this same complaint to Rosen and they did something about it. They called my wife back and fixed it free of charge because I sent the warranty card in which they denied the 1st time but accepted proof of my copy.
We don't watch DVD's in it anymore and I wouldn't recommend it, especially at the price. I just put a different one in my truck for literally 1/10th the cost and haven't had a problem yet.
You can get as rude and as defensive as you want, it is definitely not worth the money and I wouldn't but the same brand again. Thank you tough for your suggestions for how to fix it and support for your product to try to change a customer's mind. Being aggressive and rude works much better, I'm sure anyone reading this in the Bradenton/Sarasota area is definitely going to want to go through this with you and your responses. Great customer service, keep up the good work. You're exactly what I would expect from the same company I tried to get service from the 1st & 2nd time.

We also have a ROSEN T8 overhead DVD unit, which was recently installed and are now on our 3rd unit since purchasing a couple months ago. The problem was fixed regarding the DVD not coming out (to tight of screws), but the larger problem is the rattling from these units. I can see one unit being defective, but two more with rattles??? Is this is an issue with overhead units as a whole? I'm really torn with just excepting this "as is" because our prior vehicle with overhead did not have these issues.
Has this been yours or anyone else experience with ROSEN?
Thanks
Scooby

1. You can not blame anyone but yourself for not checking ahead of time what electronics cost.
2. If you really have a Rosen system, then if its a new car, you have a warranty the same as the car; if its a used car, you have 12 months. One of the best warrantys on the market. Not sure how you could not get a warranty after 1 month.
3. You must show proof of purchase to get warranty from Rosen, if not you will pay standard repair cost. If your system was installed by a Rosen authorized seller, you should have had it exchanged. Hince, I know who sells Rose in Sarasota/Bradenton and it would have been swapped. The $450 repair for "out of warranty" is a drop in the bucket compared to a factory system, which would run you closer to a $1000.
4. A repair shop telling you that Rosen is "crap" obviously would rather "sell" you there product and couldn't meet the requirements to be a Rosen authorized dealer. I've sold everything out there for mobile DVD's and Rosen is by far the one with the least problems.
5. A DVD not ejecting is a problem with the installation. The machine screws holding the unit inplace are too tight and are twisting the DVD mech drive. A common problem with any DVD system that is too tight.
