It is horrible i am posting this on the internet. This is not my style.

I was referred to this Rossity cattery as a reputable breeder of stunning siberian cats.  I contacted Elena via her website email. She sold me a beautiful male siberian gold spotted named "Roman", $2,000 later Roman arrived at age 5 months.

Here is the problem that i had with my purchase experience. Elena told me before shipping Roman that he was not a good eater of kilbble. Of course today she will tell you he ate well in Russia.  She fed him squid at home in Moscow.  I know nothing about squid here in USA it is very expensive and i would not feed any squid.  A red flag did go up but the breeder was so reputable and i had fallen in love with the cat.

He arrived 9/22 with his bad appetite. He died 3 months later at age 8 months on 12/26/09.  He probably lived longer because i was feeding him premium foods for his breed of cat.  May i add in Dec i contacted Elena and her email was something about giving the cat liver pills to heal the liver. Later an Autopsy report was sent to Elena FIP.

She did not replace my kitten she did not offer to replace and she just ignores meA very bad experience and i would say this anyone wanting to purchase a siberian buy your siberian  in the USA!  Also read your replacement policy and if they dont replace for FIP dont buy the cat.

The autopsy report Microscopic findings: 1. Fibrinqus peritonitis (X5) (Spleen, liver, kidney, small intestine, and pancreas) 2. with normal limits (X3) (stomach, heart, and lung).

comment: this peritonitis could be the result of an infection either bacterial or secondary to feline infectious peritonitis (FIP). Tiffany Scanion VMD, DACVP.

The owner continues, This cat didnt eat because now we know he didnt feel well. FIP also known as the purring disease. Some say they purr to make themselves feel better. Roman was my baby and I did cook for him chicken, he had duck holistic kibble! he was loved.  The point is that He broke my heart and broke my wallet and if i didnt have the corona virus here i have now been exposed.   Her replacement kitten policy is horrible becuase i live in usa. The terms requires to vet the kit and ship the kitten back.  How do you ship a dead kitten?  The flight alone is eighteen hours one way!  Can you imagine the expense? Plus did i mention i had to hire a custom agent costing me $200 at the airport? You can all say how reputable she is but her reputation was put to the test and she failed!  I was ignored the same way any breeder will ignore you if your kitten dies of FIP.  A bad experience. a tearful ending.

Roman was beautiful however; he was not a kitten to send to someone with little appetite. I mean i guess she has experience with liver diseases in cats because of the liver pills she mentioned. And i have no idea what that was all about.   If Elena replaces my kitten i would be very happy. I would apologize, i would speak highly of her but she does not respond.  I told her i would pay for shipping. I asked if she had an affiliate in the usa - Elena as of 2/6/10 she does not respond.
