Rothman And Wise, Previously , Chasemax Collected money for me and cashed it, then stopped taking my calls Houston Texas
In August 2008 I contacted Chasemax asking them to collect about 10K owed to my company. They accepted it and a few days later said we were getting a check for $7,000 as a settment, and Chasemax was going to take 20% of it as their fee.
I did not see the money for a while, so tried to reach them and I noticed that their Receptionist greeting changed to Rothman and Wise. I asked and was told that Chasemax is now a new company, but they offer the same services.
I then spent from October to present trying to get the money owed to me and everyone I managed to talk to at Rothman and Wise sounded very honest and concerned for my case, however the money was never sent to me and now I cannot get a live person, no matter what time I call or what type of message I leave.
The people that have talked to me and promised that the money would be sent to me are: Al Russo, Darrel Chase, Leonard Rothman, Brian Kesler, Jeff Hill, Jack, Andrew.
I have evidence that they cashed the 7,000 they collected from us (copy of the cleared check that was written to my company, then they re-wrote the check "payble to Chasemax" and chashed it).

After I was told by Al Russo, Operations Manager, that they would go legal because of my report here, he called me back a few days later saying he discussed it with "Mr. Rothman" (the man!!) and he wanted to settle this and pay me what is owed. Al Russo confirmed the amount owed to me, then said he does not write the checks himself but he knew it would be sent to me in the next few days.
About 1 month later and 2 messages left for him I have no check and no call back.
I am sending all the info to the District Attorney, if anyone wants to do the same you do not have to spend a dime to sue them, the State will do it for you and shut them down as well if they find fraud, which I believe they will.

Until they give you every dime back with a written apology sent to you Certified Mail (Make sure the "Documented" apology letter is signed, dated & Notarized) then say You shall consider to place an "Ammended Report" as a courtesty & update! See how fast they give you your money back then! A few hours after I posted the above report I received a call from Al Russo, Operations Manager at Rothman and Wise. He said he was called into his legal department that notified him about my report. He wanted to clarify things for me. He said that they are not Chasemax but they simply bought some contracts from them. He said they also got a couple of their employees. He said some of the old Chasemax phone numbers were being forwarded to their number and he had other victims of Chasemax call them.
He finished this off by saying that because Chasemax and one of their old employees did this, they ripped me off and ROthman and Wise were not responsible for my loss.
I told him that for the past 6 months, everytime I called and was lucky enough to talk to someone about the money they owed me, I was never told that, but I was always told that the check was either coming, or that it missed the 15th of the month deadline, or other excuses.
However, now that I have posted a report describing my experience with this company, I got a call promptly.
I asked to get my money, and then I would update my report.
I was told that they did not collect the money and that it was the previous company/previous employee mistake and they could not pay for their mistake.
He told me he was trying to be nice to me and explain the situation, but since I was not understanding and I was refusing to take the report down he would go legal.
