I was searching Edmunds.com for a Nissan Rough and chose the option which requests quote, Roundtree Moore being one of the quotes. I was contacted by Crystal Nissan, Jenkins Nissan and also from your internet sales representative.
I explained to all what I was looking for with options and payments desired of around $450.00 per month for 60 months.
I first received an offer from Jenkins for an SV w/SL option package for $23,995.00.
Your internet representative offered the same package at the same price; however, your package included AWD. I completed your credit application and told the rep what vehicle I was planning on trading. I discussed with the sales rep that all I was looking for with my trade was payoff of what was owed. And provided the bank information and VIN#.
I also explained I didnt want to drive
over two hours to the Dealership without a clear understanding of the deal so I was told they would sell me the Rough for $23,995 and
my payments would be within $10 either way of $399 for 72 months or $470 For 60 months.
When I arrived at the Dealership after driving over two hours in driving rain and waiting during your appraisal of my Altima, I was told that my payments would now be over $500 for 60 months or over $429 for 72 months because the sales manager made a mistake and estimated my trade based on an Altima 3.5SR instead of an Altima 2.5S which I find hard to believe!
I feel I was bated & switched, I cant believe that an auto dealership employees as professionals would agree to pay off a trade without knowing the model package. Every model vehicle has multiple levels how could you not ask that question? And I provided the VIN #?
I wasted over 5 hours of my day and to make the experience even worse I agreed to up my price to $419 per month for 72 months and was told by the sales manager that the lowest he would go was $421 per month for 72 months?? I was shocked at that point; their mistake and they hold out for $2 per month for 72 months a total of $144.
I am very upset over this experience and this dealers lack of concern for a potential customers. Tell your customer the truth and save the 5 hour round trip drive and $30 cost of gas.
