  I purchase a car in October 2013 and wanted to pay it off in several months and was told I couldn't do that. They cahrged me for Gape insurance which would cover them or the bank in the event that I couldn't pay or the car was total in an accident. I was told that I couls have this insurance refunded to me when I paid the car off. The insurance cost 600.00. I paid the car off in seven months and I put in a request for the the refund. I was told the that the process would take 4 to 6 weeks and I should have my refund. I am now in the nineth week and I have been to the dealership on three separate occassions and I'm being told that they are looking into it and they would call me back yet no one calls back.

I left several messages with the manager and the finance person that took my refund request to no avail. No one is calling me back and I have to keep calling and leaving messages. I feel like they are trying to keep my money and the insurance was really forced on me in the first place since the car was being insured anyway. I would like to sue them because of the bad service that I'm receiving from the lot of them. I also think that this is a practice that they do so that they can keep people money because most people would forget to inqiurer about the refund and others take the full amount of time to pay off their cars.

  They are working hard to rip me off!

"nissan gape insurance"

Does this insure that people won't "gape" at your car?  You probably should have gotten "GAP" insurance instead.
