Route 66 Extended Warranty They may not pay for up to 24 hours which will cause you to be without a vehicle until your mechanic is paid. This was on my truck. I also had a warranty on a car I bought. The transmission went out 2 weeks after I bought it and they would not cover it. I had them to refund the cost of the warranty and got it fixed myself. In my opinion this is not worth having. They did finally pay for the truck repairs after a nasty phone call from me. don't be fooled by them. They will only pay what they want to pay and you may be left to pay the rest out of pocket. I purchased the Main Street Warranty on my truck. They told the mechanic it could be as long as 24 hours to get payment after the repairs were made. That is contradictory to what my contract says. It may have caused me to be without a vehicle for another day if I hadn't called and raised cain. They also didn't pay the full amount so i had to come out of pocket with $133.00.

Don't be fooled by these people. They will pay for what they want to and when they want too.
I will not purchase another warranty through them and you better be careful if you do.

Every single extended warranty I have looked into all have a waiting period of 30 days. Of course they won't cover auto failures within 30 days of purchasing an extended warranty. They are protecting themselves from possible scams. I had several issues happen over a period of two years on a Pontiac G6. All were covered. But diagnostic charges weren't covered on an engine issue. That was clearly stated on the info I received as well as through a telephone conversation.
