I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Rowe Special Credit, who fooled me into thinking because I had no credit, they could easily get me a cheap car to pay off in only two years to build my credit. What they don't tell you is, you are paying 7 times the amount the vehicle is worth, they put inspection stickers on non- deserving vehicles, and the cars most likely won't last the two years you need to pay.

Five months ago I signed the deal on a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier with only 86,000 miles. It had a brand new inspection sticker, and with a slight inspection I found a bad steering rack and bad belts and they "fixed" them before I took the car home. The total amount I would be paying on the car by the end is around 6900. It's worth only about 1100. Now five months down the road, I am finding out there is extreme rust on the muffler underneath the car, a bad motor mount so the motor swings back and forth when driving, likely to fall out soon, the cv joints, struts, and transmission fluid are bad. It has needed a tune up for a while, the air conditioning would need over 1000 to fix, and many other small repairs. All in all, it would cost MUCH more then the vehicle is worth to fix.

What I thought would be a good way to build credit has turned into a money pit that I in no way will be able to get out of. Luckily I am now living out of Maine where vehicle inspections are not required to drive, because this car would in no way pass one, and shouldn't have five months ago. I was told to not bother fixing this car, and to try to get rid of it by trading it in elsewhere. My point is, no matter how bad or little credit you have, DO NOT purchase a car from these people. They are sneaky, and don't care about the vehicle they are setting you up with, and know it is likely not going to last the two years you are paying. If you do purchase one, be sure to get a COMPLETE vehicle inspection where everything is checked, and know the interest rate is about 18%. Good luck to you!
