June 2005 I went to this repair shop to have my car repaired because it failed emissions amd it had a tapping noise in the engine. I logged on to allexperts and talked to a mechanic there, and told him the problem. I thought the thing needed a valve job, but he suggested that is might just be the lifters. I mentioned this to the mechanic to check to see if it is just the lifters. He called and said it was and he could change those and it would cost around $900.00. He named off seals, coolant leakage, and I had him change the oil and spark plugs.

In the mean time I continued to converse with the allexperts mechanic and he mentioned that it quite possibly be the knock sensor, that I should have that checked. Three days later, I went to pick up the car and Metcalfe Mechanic explained that it still had a "slight" tapping but they couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from, I then mentioned about the knock sensor, and he said that my car didn't have one.

REALLY! WELL, when I paid for the service and went to crank the car it had the same tapping noise in the car as if they had not even touched it. I had to drive it off, because I needed it to go to work, but after the Attorney General was notified, their response was that they did what I has them to do (naturaly) The bill was $1012.00 and all I got was it to pass emissions. I checked an auto parts store and sure enough, Knock Sensor can be bought for my type of vehicle.
