In September 2002, this company "Royal Benefits" promised me a credit card that would help fix my credit. The card was to be sent to me in 14 business days after I sent off an appliction that was sent to me through the mail.

October 3 2002, money in the amount of $249.00 was taken out of my account, which showed up on my bank statement for that month, follwed by a number to contact them. Unsure of where the funds went, I contacted my bank and called the company inquiring about the withdrawl, and was told that it was a one time fee for my card I applied for, and that it wouldn't be taken out more than once and also assured me that I would be recieveing a card in the next 14 business days.

I went away on business for about a month in November, and was expecting to find my card in the mail when I returned, but didn't. I called the number once again, inquiring about my card, once again they assured me that my card would be in the mail. By mid December, there was another $249.00 withdrawl tranaction showing up on my bank statement, there was not a name attached to it, however the same number showed up.

So close to Christmas, I was very displeased. Furiuosly I called the number again and again, inquiring about my missing funds, the claim was that they didn't have any record of a transaction in October, and the only record showing was for December. I was not given much information, but was continuosly assured that there was a card coming. I asked numerous times for a refund, but they said there was no way possible of that happening.

I asked to speak to mangers and asked for names and addresses, I got hung-up on many occasions. A lot of the times that I called they complained of me being rude, but come on, when $500.00 of your well earned money is missing so close to Christmas, you will get pissed too.

I went back up to my bank and asked if there was anything they could do to stop the withdrawls and they said they could put a block on my account. By Christmas, I was calling twice a day, and still getting assuracnce that a card was on the way, they were just "backed-up" during the Christmas holidays, and all cards would be send out by the 18th of January. For about 2 weeks the company was closed for the holidays, and by the 18th of January, the business was closed... however the message that I recieved still assured all customers that they would be recieving they're packages. I am now $500.00 poorer, still have unfixed credit, and another victim of fraud.
