Like the previous poster stated, search on Royal British Lotto, Zenith Financial, or just words like lottery or lotto. There are hundreds and hundreds of ripoffreports here. If you deposit that check, it will bounce and you will be responsible for having to pay that money back to the bank. Some additional food for thought: there was an article in my local paper about 3 weeks ago that some banks are bringing criminal charges against the people who attempt to cash or deposit the checks (that means you!). One person interviewed had spent thousands in legal fees defending himself.
Don't bother trying to call these people! Why are you calling them? They are simply going to reassure you that the check is real. OF COURSE they are going to say that! They want the money!
Ask yourself: did you ever even enter the British Lotto? People are so bedazzled by the concept of free money that they lose all ability to think clearly. There is no such thing as free money....unless you are a scam artist scamming people.
Edit: I said there are hundreds of reports here of people being ripped off. Actually, I just checked. Its thousands.

We thought that our prayers were answered. We are a low income family and my husban stays at home with our 3 children. He was in an accident and has only 1 hand. The government will not help us and we have been denied disability 3 time. He has carple tunle and tendinites is his one good hand. We can not afford to have surgery on his hand because I would have to take off work to take care of him and our children. Not to mention the hospital bill, he has no insurance. Who can afford it?
We really thought our prayers were answered when we received this wonderful check in the mail. We thought things were really going to turn around. Something about the check did not feel right, but who can refuse free money. There was this wonderful man on the phone who was telling me that everything was going to be great. I took the check to the bank and put it in my account with a great big smile. Guess who is not smiling know?
There has to be a way to get back at these people. 5665.50 would have helped out, but 107646.00 would have saved us.

Run away.. far away from this ripoff.
Do a search on this site for Royal British Lotto and Wachovia Bank.. there are MANY reports of people getting these checks and deposting them to send money back as "fees" and finding out checks are forged...
