Royal Camera & Video Royal Scam of Credit Card Security Code Ripoff Brooklyn New York
I looked online to by a Panasonic video camera & naturally these guys have the best price. They were 'closed' on the weekend so today I get an email which states:
Please call Max to confirm your order between 12pm and 6 pm eastern time
Thank You,
Royal Camera
So I do and they ask to confirm the security code on the back of my credit card. They talked me into getting extra stuff with the camera. Within minutes I have 999.99 charged to my card. They tried to do that about 2 times but my credit card company blocked the 2nd attempt and the goof's tried it again for 2089.64. But my wise credit card company had already halted the account.
When I contacted them back to reverse any charges, they first hung up on me; then when asked again they told me I had to call some customer service #. B.S.
Basically, any legit company won't use AOL as there web address and have you call them up to give them something that they should already have. It is just a sophisticated scam. Steer clear of these folks.
I canceled my card. Don't get fooled!!
