On 4/5/07, my wife received a letter from the Royal Foundation Lotto. This letter stated:

Date: April 2, 2007
You are hereby informed that after the just concluded ROYAL FOUNDATION LOTTO held in London, England, she had emerged as one of the winners in the third category. Partipicants were selected via a computer ballot draw from 1,500,000 names drawn from Europe, Asia and North America. Your name attached to coupon number xxx-xxxxx with serail number xxx-xxx drew the lucky numbers of xx-xx-xx-xx-xx which subsequently won the lottery in the third catagory. You have therefore been approved for the lump sum of $120,000.00 usd. This is from a total cash prize of $3,500,000.00 usd shared among (eighteen) international winners in different catergories, This is an annual competition organised since the New Millennium in our nobel drive to go global.
A sponsor's check of $2,999.50 is enclosed to assist you finance your international clearance fees of $2,845.00. Your clearance fees should be forwarded to our designated North American Agent. However, you will receive a total of $120,000.00 minus $6,000.00 (5% sponsors commission). Invariably, you will receivr a total of $114,000.00. Your agent will give you further details.
