In the port of Cozumel there is an unscrupulous sales team for Park Royal/Royal Holiday Vacation Club memberships. They will get you into the office to sit through a supposed 45 minute presentation which will actually take almost 2 hours. They will promise a taxi ride to your ships dock,a lie. They will promise that if you sign up and make a deposit for the Bronze(lowest) program you will get double incentive credits, a lie. They actually sell you the Bronze+ program at the Bronze+ price, but you don't get to realize this until you actually get to preview the program book that you don't get till the very end, when they know you are running out of time to return to your ship.

They will also tell you that if after you preview everything in the club book you find that this program is not for you that you may cancel and obtain a refund by calling the Cozumel office, a lie. They will not answer at the number given.

After calling to their HQ in Mexico City and trying to get them to transfer me to the Cozumel office three times with no success, I was transferred to their legal dept. and was assaulted with a barrage of legal mumbo jumbo, and all the while the person kept trying to repitch the sale to me.

It is always best to hire someone skilled to do so, unfortunately in most cases these companies dedicated to cancel timeshares usually cheat for the second time to their customers since they are vulnerable and desperate. If you are thinking of hiring them you just have to make sure you do not have to make any payment upfront.
I found this article that speak precisely about this, you should read it, that might help you to resolve many doubts:
