Royal Prestige, 21st Century ripoff taking advantage of young couples by telling lies to sell their product Huntington Station New York
I received a phone call telling me I was lucky because I was chosen out of thousands of entries to win a free trip to my choice of four destinations. The only thing I had to do was to go to the 21st Century's showroom and listen to the presentation and tell them what I thought.
We went to the showroom on New York Avenue in Huntington, they were selling knives, china and Royal Prestige pots and pans. The salesman was very impressive with his presentation, he told us the other companies like Calphalon, Analon and other big brand pot makers were using harmful chemicals to make their non stick pots. He had articles he printed off the internet about a woman who was making Thanksgiving dinner and all her birds died which he directly blamed on the non stick pots. He also told us that aluminum in pots can cause Alzheimers and that their pots were "surgically sterile" -
my fiance and I after placed an order for the pots because we were told "these prices are today only and if you buy today you get another trip", when we got home we went on the internet and did some research, immediately after reading a ton of terrible write ups we called the company to cancel our order, we were told we cannot cancel since we placed the order in their showroom and that we were stuck with them or we can have a store credit -
they are very sneaky and they use shady scare tactics to rope you in and they know that since you are at their showroom, and you place an order you can't cancel. My fiance and I are educated individuals and feel ashamed that we fell for their line of bs -
we are saving for our wedding in one year and used some of our savings to buy these pots. There is nothing we can do but warn others, dont fall for their free trips to lure you their showroom and if you do go their do not place the order there!!!! - order through the catalog or online or something....DO NOT get stuck by placing and order in the showroom.
