Complaint Review: Royal Prestige Cookware

My fianc and I purchased a twelve-piece cookware set from Royal Prestige on March 10, 2004. We called the next morning to cancel the order, as it stated in the contract that we had 3 days to do so. We called the sales rep that did the presentation and he refused to cancel the order. He stated that when we left that night, we completely understood that we could not cancel the order for any reason and if so we would have to take store credit. I told him that was not understood by my fianc and I. I further stated that if we did know we could not cancel the order; otherwise, I would not be on the phone trying to do so. He said that the sales rep told him he explained that to us in detail and he is sitting right beside him. I told him that was untrue and asked to speak the rep that took the order but he would not put him on the phone.

We are extremely upset that even in this days and age, those companies can do something so deceptive. They even used false claims to sell merchandise and get away with it. Can anyone help stop these scams?
