My fiance and I attended the presentation last night and I felt this meeting was entertaining. You walk into to love songs being played in the background, followed by a 15 min tape of wedding bloopers which were too funny.

He then comes in advising of what he has to offer. He states upfront that there is nothing you have to purchase and just for your time in attending you received the free hotel 3 day 2 night package. He then goes into telling about the China, the cookware and what its made of and cooks a sample meal.

For us, Chris cooked some lemon-pepper chicken and broccoli with carrots which did cook faster than you normally would have to. While his is cooking and requires no water you would be waiting for the water to boil.

I beleive this cookware is top of the line and would be a good deal to offer, maybe after your married and steady on your payments. At this time they're are offering it when you are trying to save every penney for wedding plans.

Which is the reason we decided against it. There were no scare tactics used at all. In fact, everything used were actual newspaper articles, CNN backed up facts ect....

He did say even if you buy nothing today, the first thing to do is to go home and throw away your nonstick pans because they are made of Teflon. CNN just advertised that there are cases of poisoning and teflon flu being reported.

Aluminum you can wipe a napkin thru and see the gray matter come off of it. If you have stainless steel pans -- THAT's all you need there. They are safe and not proven to be a risk. Even the top layer of Royal Prestige cookware has is Stainless steel.

The top killer in the US is heart disease and this would be a healthy way of cooking because he showed from the 98% fat free chicken used how much fat cooked out of that. If your thinking so what I have a George Foreman that cooks out the fat remember this too is nonstick teflon.

I he threw the China down banged it around, had a man stand on a single coffee china cup all weight on it. This man was out of the 6 couples of us who were there. He demonstrated how you can stack cook by showing with cold water poured into one of these pots that its almost instantly the pot was cold all around top to bottom in less than 3 seconds.

I was really impressed. ONLY thing is ..... I know how to say no -- if I know we don't have the money to do it now and will already be pinching for money on wedding plans. WE sat down and talked about it (my fiance and I)

And he was really wanting go for it. The man Chris that presented the show did not stay on you trying to force you or talk you into anything at all. He was really a nice guy and made his rounds to everyone who had questions. other than that you were left alone.

We saw others going for the deal (which maybe they can afford now) But as for us I made the decision and told my fiance that we can't do this now.

Chris came back over to us and I told him we're not going to do it. He said okay. Simple as that! He got the free 3 day 2 night hotel stay that we got for being there said just complete steps 1, 2, and 3- guys. And told us to have a good night.

There was nothing scary from this at all,in fact, I learned alot!!!!! What I learned was scary and true. But there was no high pressure scare tactics used. Chris even when we asked a question said.....it's your decision and your paycheck. You know what you can or can't do.

And this is true. If you go in saying do not take anything just get the free incentive and leave. You will once you see the quality products be tempted to purchase, but if you think about your expenses you know if you can do it or not. So, to all the complainers..........

It's really your fault you said yes.......if you knew you really wouldn't use the product or if you knew you really didn't have the money but felt so impressed at the time that you would go ahead and do it anyway and figure that you would find some way to budget for it and then when you get the products reality kicks in and you find that you can't do this and it's too late to back out.

Here's some good advice.....THINK BEFORE YOU DO IT!!!!!! If you don't think you can afford it -- Guess what? you're right! Leave.....there's no obligation. They are very nice products but if you can't afford it - you can't. You still get your incentive.

One way of thinking about it is for $2300 you get all the cookware...4 place setting china and crystal along with 5 day 4 night package all inclusive to Cancun. Which isn't bad probably. If you can afford it ... I would do it! We just could not!!!!! So if you can't DON'T!!!!!!!!

This show was really entertaining, informative, and a fast and healthy way of cooking if you can do it. LEARN to say No now if you know you can't do it. You're getting married there are alot of decisions you will have to make especially when you go to purchase a house later. Think about it!!!!!!!! Use your heads and that thing called a brain inside of it.

Not trying to be rude but that's the jist of it! I agree with Jessica in SC

I am very sorry to see that you are very gullible in believing everything Chris told you about how life saving Royal Prestige cookware is. There have been no reports on CNN regarding teflon and poisoning. I checked it out myself on CNN.com. Just because Royal Prestige holds up a laminated, typed out piece of paper saying that every other cookware out there is killing you doesn't mean that it is the word of God. Visit dupont.com or teflon.com to get the facts on Teflon - it is not going to poison you if you cook with it, good grief! If you think Teflon is poisonous, then you might as well go ahead and stop eating, period, because there are more harmful chemicals and materials in your food than there are in your cookware. Have you ever heard of the Consumer Protection Agency, United States Department of Agriculture, or the Food and Drug Administration? They do lengthy, rigorous controlled studies specifically to make sure that products on the market out there are SAFE for US. DUH, that's why these agencies exist!! Now why do you think that they would allow the sale of Teflon cookware if it is poisonous? I think your next step would be to do some homework and check with those agencies and try to convince them that Teflon is poisonous. I wish you the best of luck, because you will need it!

And while you're at it, you might as well stop wearing deodorant because the aluminum in it will cause you to get Alzheimer's and you should immediately get any silver fillings in your teeth taken out because the mercury in them will give you neurological disorders and... I could go on and on...! The bottom line is, don't be so easy to believe everything you hear.

Regardless of how silly and completely unsubstantiated your comments were regarding how other cookware is unsafe for us, I do commend you for communicating with your fiance and making wise financial decisions together.

Wake up and do not waste your money! Royal Prestige is made by Regal and is not magic!

I do not mean to be rude, either, but you have been taken for a ride.

I do not think any of the people on this board are lying about what happened to them. In fact, the fact that they spoke out and got law-enforcement involved is the real reason you did not get the full treatment of former pitches.

If you have not been following this scam, you really should not berate people for what is written here.

The spiel has changed lately, due to the fact that Hy-Cite was fined by several AGs around the country for their former scare tactics of telling people they would DIE if they cooked in any other cookware. Hy-Cite was also found guilty of misrepresenting themselves as being from bridal registries or bridal consulting companies.

Teflon flu? I have cooked with Teflon for years and in all that time I have never had any kind of flu. So, according to my research, Teflon actually wards off the flu and should be used at every available opportunity.

I would like to see these CNN news clippings. All the clippings I have seen debunk this illness from Teflon myth. And my clippings, too, come from very reputable sources.

Royal Prestige is made by Regal. Yes, Regal. The very same Regal that you see at every Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, and Venture store. There is nothing magical about it except the stars put in your eyes by these shyster salespeople.

The exorbitant price has nothing to do with the superior quality of the product. It has worlds to do with the huge commission made by the salespeople.

Good stainless steel cookware is available at any restaurant supply outlet at a much better price. Sams Club has very nice sets of stainless cookware at reasonable prices.

As far as standing on a teacup, that little test has to do with weight distribution. I can stand on my own teacups (tried it as a test)! It is not something I would do every day and is rather silly. It is not even a fun party game.

A real test would be to drop it from countertop height onto a floor that has a concrete slab under the vinyl. It the cup lives over that, then I will be impressed. Odds are very much against you ever standing on your cups, but are much higher that you will someday drop one.

That does not change the fact that it is very over-priced! Did they offer financing? What was the interest rate on it? What would be the final price paid after financing? Who does the financing? Hy-Cite itself?

Please do some research into this before going into hock for this cookware, now or ever! Young married couples have enough challenges without being buried in debt for pots, pans and dishes. You were smart to say No this time; now keep saying it.

Research: Royal Prestige, Hy-Cite Corporation and Regal.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and best of luck to you both.
