I was referred to RPM by a friend who had recently made a home purchase using them. This was an exciting time for me because it was my first big purchase. I had saved money, attended first time buyer classes provided by HUD, and read as much as possible. In the begining of the process of buying my home I was told that my credit was great and that I could purchase my condo alone. I kept inquiring about the mortgage which I kept getting the run around about. I did not have information about the loan type, amounts kept, changing, etc., etc. I was adamant about getting a 30 year fixed but maybe a week before closing I received a call stating that I could not get a mortgage in my name alone, that I would need a co-signer. With all of the stress I wanted out! Then I am told that if I didn't come up with a person I could end up owing the seller thousands of dollars that I did not have. RPM lied to me, took advantage of my circumstance, and to make matters worst I was left off the mortgage all together. I was so upset at the closing about being steered into a subprime loan (2). Marta told that I should make the payments which will help my credit score and then I would be able to get better rate and transfer mortgage in my name. What she didn't say is that my name is not on the mortgage at all and the payments I have been making will not benefit my credit score and will not put me in a better situation to get a refi of the mortgage in my name.

I went through a nightmare, as prepared as I thought I was. Nothing could have prepared me for what they did to me. All in all these people are unscroupolous and will tell you whatever to get their money. Judging from the threat of suit from the owner on a previous post I should be careful with telling about by experience. At the end of the day right is right and wrong is wrong. RPM took advantage of me, lied, and basically did anything and everything to make their commission and that's my TRUTH. Even when I expressed that I was unhappy with the situation, I was given more empty words to move the TRANSACTION along, too bad it was my LIFE.
