Rubin Livestock Services CASHED MY DEPOSIT AND DID NOT SELL ME A HORSE AND WOULD NOT FOLLOW UP WITH ME Monticello, New York
Dear Feldman Kramer and Monaco law services on 8-14-13 I honored an appointment with Kaitlen Rubin of Rubin Livestock Service 93 Rubin Rd, Monticello, NY 12701 Phone number 845-794-3401. I test rode 2 horses of which she guaranteed me that both horses were safe however one of the horses bucked more than once and attempted to get oug of control. I immediately requested to stop the test ride of that horse. She then allowed me to rest ride another horse a Tennessee Walker Gaited Horse of which I liked but noticed that it had a skin disease know as (Scratches) she vehemetely denied that the horse had Scratches when it was very obvious that he horse had the disease on all 4 legs.
I told her that I would be interested in purchasing the horse and asked for the Coggins on the horse, she told me that it was in the office and tried to get me to sign paperwork on the purchase without showing it to me first. I immediately told her that unless I see the coggins I was not doing any paperwork. She then said she could not find it and then said it was in the glove compartment of her truck but never bothered to go and get it I advised that I must have the coggins and then she told me that she did not have one. She told me that she would have a coggins performed in 24 hours but required that I pay for the horse and she would give me a refund if the coggins came back positive. I told her NO WAY! she said that I must leave a deposit on the horse as someone was coming the next day to purchase the horse (nothing but a lie) I told her that I would only give a $100 check AND IT WAS NOT BE CASHED. She was not willing to put anything in writing and I told her no deal unless it was in writing and she put it in writing and she put it in writing.
I lef the deposit and she cashed it the very next day and never followed up with me again! I have filed a lawsuit in small claims court and contacted the local news! STAY AWAY FROM THIS FARM she takes your money and will not follow up with you! I have no horse but she cashed my check!
