Ruby Tuesday The Bartender (Jess) ripped me off. Acts like a h*o Greenwood Indiana

I went to Ruby Tuesday several times in Greenwood, IN. Each and every time I went there, the bartender ... JESS disrupted my meals with her outrageous flirtation and talking about how poor she was and has three kids to raise.

At first I accepted and even instigated the filtation. I never thought though, that she would steal from me. I gave her $20.00 for a Sprite, after I had already paid for my $12.00 Hamburger. She distracted me with her wiggling and giggling. I never noticed that she had not returned my change until I got home.

There are plenty of Ruby Tuesdays around, I suggest that everyone go to a different Ruby Tuesdays if you want to overpay for an overpriced $12.00 hamburger. You will probably get your change back from another Ruby Tuesday.

Jeez Diane, go burn a bra or something. Dude, it's your fault you got screwed call the restaurant. They'll give you your money back. Why would you report a company for something that has nothing to do with them. It's the girls, and your fault. Not Ruby Tuesday's!

If the dude wanted to complain about $12 hamburgers, that's one thing. But the bartender in such a setting is not a professional and to somehow assert she is and then claim "rip-off" is silly. She's a glorified waitress who serves soft drinks, and the occasional beer and wine. The customer must exercise their right to have their excess money returned; if not returned, then the bartender/waitress needs to explain why no change was due. Instead, we get the line...

"She distracted me with her wiggling and giggling."

Ugh, no wonder people are so poor these days. He was more interested in the show than he was with the money due back to him.

I really think she flirted with him and he liked it, he went there several times to see her.She put him in a tight spot, either he could eat his large tip or he could look like a tight wad and ask for it. He decided to not embarrass himself and let it go. But goes home and settles the score on here. Also someone said Lana would keep the change, I never flirted with men on the job, I said some guys take being nice as flirting, and when they hit on you and the reaction is negative they do not tip or become jerks. on a better note.. I cut a mans hair one Friday morning, he paid gave me a tip, then asked if I would like to go out to dinner that night. I accepted. That was 18 years ago, we married and have 4 daughters.

As I read this, you gave the bartender more money than the price of your drink, and did not get back change. Your conclusion is she stole the money. Maybe.
Consider in a business that has people clamoring for service that the bartender got distracted. Or, as I have also seen, the person who took the money will be called on to do another task, tell another employee to take the change to the customer, and the change will go to the wrong customer. No, that is not right, but it is a mistake, not stealing.
Did you call the manager or bartender, or go back there to ask? I know in some establishments , not all, the cash drawer is checked in and out, and if the tape register at the end of shift doesn't match cash in the drawer (either too high or too low) someone has to explain this, and the register operator is not to have any of their own cash on them during their shift.
I'm not convinced this was theft.

What kind of person are you to file a complaint like this on a web site about another person? It really is a trival amount of money and I think there is more to this story than you are letting on. Will this matter 6 months from now? Unfortunately this report will be on here 6 months from now. The damage to to this woman's character will have been done by you; all in a moment of impulsive anger on your part. Good luck in life and finding a life partner. You sound like a real catch.

Here is this dude who likes to go and flirt with this lady who works in a BAR and he should KNOW that ladies who work in BARS are HUSTLERS and if he didn't know what the hell a HUSTLER was, he just now found out.

An $8 tip on a $12 hamburger is slightly over half. Twenty percent tips are the gong rate where I am from so homegirl got some money but apparently lost the customer.

Fool should have realized he was being played...

Next time, dude, go to McDonald's for a burger and fries. YOU WILL GET CHANGE BACK FROM A TWENTY!

McDonald's is YOUR KIND OF PLACE!

No you made yourself VERY clear, perhaps too clear for someone that supposedly lives in (Irvine, CA). You took the time to do the search on THIS post and you are in CA??? I think you really know JESS................The Bartender..............Maybe????
Why do YOU take such an interest in THIS matter when you live in CA????

I think each time a post is done it just brings THIS post back to the top.

Jess the (Bartender) was the PROFESSIONAL and should have behaved as such.
Yes some idiot men will flirt or acceot flirting, but STEALING is WRONG!!!!

Why do you ASSUME the orginal poster posted a "Fake" post and why would YOU care anyway??? Yes he might have been rejected or maybe SHE was. I think his post is about being ripped off by the bartender. At least (I) live here and know of the location the poster speaks of as well as a lot of other Ruby Tuesdays in IND. I personally would not care about a guy posting on Ruby Tuesday's in CA.

Btw, There are over priced.

I guess you missed my point, so let me make it a bit clearer.

I am not defending the Bartender, because I do not believe this event even happened. As I said there was flirting between the two and I have a feeling that he was 'rejected'. When he was, he decided to write a FALSE report.

By the way I did search for other reports and found a total of 10 since 2005, which for a chain of just about 1000 locations is really insignificant.

I think this guy Jess was done wrong by Ruby Tuesdays bartender, as HIS is not the only complaint on a Ruby Tuesday's, as you can see if you search. Yes, I think the female bartender (worked him), I think he accepted and enjoyed it. She probably (Works) Most men. I do think it is HER JOB to refund his change, not just her job to (Serve him Food), as LANA said. I really think that most people NEVER have or should have to "Ask for their change"!!!!! Bet none of the posters have had to ask for their change from Kroger, walmart etc...

Sounds like KEN, RESTY and ROBERT need to go enjoy this Bartender and it sounds like LANA, would keep a guys change.

The man had a complaint, so he filed it. He admitted that he went there several times, admitted that he probably enjoyed the "Flirting", so why attack him????

Sounds like the Bartender took advantage of him after he went in a few times.

What difference does it make if their names happen to be the same????? Most people on here use FAKE names anyway.

Hope he has learned his lesson. He tried to warn others, but it is up to them to decide. (I) personally agree with the complaintant and think perhaps the bartender should look for other avenues of (Working a man).

Everyone do a search on this site for RUBY TUESDAY, especially those defending the Bartender!!!!

I cut hair for many years, I would always be friendly, sincere, I did my job good and never flirted. But I would get these guys every so often that took nice and sincere as flirting. Then when you would reject a date or hitting on I was then treated like crap.. no tip or as far as a complaint about my hair cut. It is just not right I was doing my job. If you want a date or sex or anything else go to a strip club or dating service not a salon.

This sounds more like a relationship issue than a true RipOff.

The OP had been there several times, obviously they didn't think that the $12 hamburgers were overpriced all of the other times they went there. The OP also stated that they instigated the flirting, and that the bartender flirted back(although it all of the sudden became outragous).

I would be willing to bet that this is more of a case where she said that she wasn't interested, rather than her not returning change.

By the way isn't it interesting that the OP and the Bartender both have the same name?

...that a supposedly grown-up adult human being would whine about being "ripped off" when it was his own fault for getting caught up in the "performance", if you will.

Man up, for crying out loud. You got distracted, probably enjoyed it, and forgot your change. Call it a lesson in life for less than twenty bucks and forget about it.
