I was unfortunate enough to be transported by Southwest Ambulance (Rural Metro Corp) to the ER on a 7 minute ride.  To work was done other then to transport me due to fire dept. request and concerns.  They received my medical insurance information and a copy of our medical card.

Four weeks later a nasty note arrives that I owe $1800 Dollars for transport because I have no insurance.  I called gave my information to the service rep, who then told me to pay it, because they will not contact the insurance since this was a final notice.  I told him its their job since I don't know what all is needed on their end.  I then faxed and emailed copies to this idiot employee.

Two weeks pass, and Collections calls to tell me that Rural Metro has exhausted all options and the bill is not with them.  I explained everything to the collections worker, who stated that this is common with Rural Metro and that he would take my copies and take care of contacting insurance.  I have not heard anything since.  Rural Metro would not respond to any complaints, emails or BBB complaints I filed.  No call backs when voice mails were left.  Total Rip Off, Beware.
