RESPONCE CONCERNING "OFA CERTIFACATION

Having a breeder OFA Certified does not guarantee a puppy will not have problems. Genes from both parents go back several generations. OFA means that the tested dog, at the time of the test, does not have problems. To have a breeder OFA tested, the dog has to be sedated, which I'm sure you know, is the last resort with any veterinarian. It is always dangerous to sedate. There is never a guaranteed good outcome. Our breeders have had their hips x-rayed at the advice of our veterinarians. We have an eight year breeding program without an incident of hip problems and feel this speaks for itself. Hips are covered under our Health Guarantee Contract. No one has ever been told that we OFA certifie our breeders. They are told our dogs have had there hips x-rayed and they have been cleared and as of todays date we have no reported documentation concerning a hip problem from any of our prior customers over the last eight years. All of our breeders are free from genetic defects. Linda/ Secretary Rush Kennels
