I purchased materials from this company for my life insurance exam in Pennsylvania (they were recommended as a testing services provider by the state). I paid $50 for the materials (shipping included) via my credit card and waited to get them in about 4 days. However, before receiving them, I decided to use another company's study materials because they came better recommended than Russ by established insurance professionals.

With that said, I promptly called the school the day after my purchase and asked for a refund. I was instructed to return the materials unopened to the address from which they came. When they arrived, I sent them back via priority mail and called to get my refund after they were received (I got tracking from USPS). I was informed that I would only be getting $40 of my original $50.

When I asked why--as I could understand $5 off for shipping on their end, but not $10--the female representative got flustered and aggressive on the phone. She said that it was because of a $2.50 charge each time for processing--this was news to me as there isn't any such policy stated on their website. When I asked for a copy of this to be faxed to me, she suggested that I take it up with my credit card company and have them handle it if I didn't like it.

Because I didn't want to wait a month over $5, I agreed to get my $40 back now, but avoid this company, as there are too many other reputable firms for your insurance licensing needs.
