Rust Consulting, Inc Rust Consulting Stole my Settlement from AOL CL Class Action Lawsuit Minneapolis, Minnesota
Rust Consulting stole my settlement form the AOL Class Action lawsuit. They stole the back pay that was granted by the courts. Settlement checks were mailed on July 23, 2010. When my mailbox did not have this check on August 3, 2010, I called Rust Consulting and followed up with the e-mail below.
I
am writing this e-mail as a follow-up to my two conversations with
Louise Roberts. I am a member of the above action and promptly filled
out and mailed all paperwork concerning my portion of BACK WAGES owed to
me by AOL. This can be substantiated by reviewing my dated and signed
paperwork. Because of the prospect of identity theft, I did not
include my social security number with your paperwork. Because of this
concern, I telephoned your office on two occasions to verify my
paperwork was in proper order, and if my social security number was
necessary, I would have either gave it over the phone or mailed it
certified to a specific individual. On both calls I was informed that
all was well with what I sent.
As the distribution of the settlement was on 7/23, I contacted your firm
on 8/3 to inquire about my check. First I was told by a male employee
that my claim was denied - incomplete paperwork, specifically
lacking my social security number. I demanded to speak to his boss.
That was when I spoke to Louise Roberts. Unbeknownst to me all my previous conversations with RUST were taped, and
she told me she will call me when she examines those tapes. The
legality of not informing people they are being taped is at question
here as well.
Yesterday Ms. Roberts told me she examined my tapes, and on both calls RUST EMPLOYEES gave
me incorrect information. Apparently Rust Consulting handles a
multitude of Settlements and most do not require a social security
number, but this one did. RUST ERROR denies me my fair compensation.
Ms. Roberts convoluted logic dated my phone calls to be too late anyhow
to make changes as I past past the so called deadline. This logic
covers RUST Consulting behind.
I earned this money. I would appreciate any suggestions that can get Rust to release my earnings.

I just received a letter in the mail from Rust Consulting regarding another company that has supposedly reached a settlement and they (Rust Consulting) were authorized to disperse the settlement money to victims whose rights were violate under the Truth and Lending Act. However, before I sign anything I thought it be in my best interest to do my due diligence before I proceeded.
I must says it is disheartening to read (again, again) about the consumer being taken advantage of (again).
Suggestion:
Maybe Rust Consultant should be the subjects of a Class Action Law suite or an investigation. Just a thought.
