Rustic Fence Specialists,Inc. owner Rick South ripoff deceptive company Arlington Texas
This company has been in business in Arlington since 1964,yet they are unaware of the regulations on fences. My husband and I
purchased an white iron fence for the front our house,it was to be 4 foot tall.We were charged $5,735.00 for a 4 ft. fence. It was suppose to have gate springs so the gates would swing closed on their own and not protrude into the driveway. They promise quality workmanship and years of low maintainence,a 5 year warranty on iron fences, they call themselves "experts" and "specialists",they claim customer satisfaction is guaranteed.
Arlington regulation states only a 36 inch fence in front of homes is permitted, they cut 18 inches of iron all around the front fence a total of 203 feet. And refuse to refund the difference. There are spearheads and ornamental post tops that are not welded on but sitting loosely atop the posts. The fence itself is hung irregularly meaning some of the spears are butted up against the posts and others are various widths apart. The fence began rusting after the first rain.I called with complaints for 5 months,I then received a nasty letter from Rick South the owner
who to quote said "Though the bridge between us is doused with gasoline,I will not toss the match. The golden rule, councils me to offer this after service to your cute little fence and leave you a bucket of paint,so you can keep it so,with little effort. From the gut Rick South"
I hired a lawyer to represent me,but Mr South is still unwlling to refund my money, preform any services,or even give me my five year warranty he told my attorney (Bloomberg & Associates)he will only warranty my fence for 2 years because its white, and will not but that warranty in writing either. We are going to court this summer.

They are horrible people and are unwilling to even talk like an adult to anyone. 4 years ago I paid 5600 to have a 6ft 9g chainlink fence put up. i asked them if I needed to get the permit, and they assured me that they get it and it was already filed before they put up the fence. Fast forward to 7/15/2011 and I get a notice from city code enforcement saying the fence has no permit and must come down. Rustic told me they faxed the permit to the city, only to find out they only faxed a request for a permit. They are scammers. I am taking them to small claims court to get a refund for my fence since they sold it to me under decepetive pratices
