Complaint Review: RV Ice Box.com

We contacted this company the beginning of August after finding them on the internet.  Inquired about ordering a cooling unit for our RV.  We were given a very smooth sales pitch on how theirs was the best warranty around and we would receive the unit in 3-4 days.   We ordered and tried to use a credit card and was told their credit card machine was broken and they could only take a check by phone which we did! We expected the part the 2nd week in August and contacted them again after not receiving the part.  

First we were given a runaround that the girls in the "front office" were at lunch and needed to call us back to confirm our order.  Needless to say, they never called so we called again only to be put on hold for several minutes.   We were told again they would call us back.   They did not!   We called the next day and were assured the part would arrive on August 19.  On August 23, when the part still had not arrived, we called AGAIN!  The man this time was very rude and asked why I kept calling and that the part was shipping in 7-10 business days.  

Finally we contacted him again a few days later, demanding a refund and he refused. He did end up actually shipping the unit that evening, giving us a tracking number by voice mail, and we did finally receive the part almost 1 month to the day we ordered the part.  Keep in mind this was originally promised us to be shipped in 3-4 days!   Now, today, we had the part installed and needless to say, this part DOES NOT WORK!!!   This company just takes your money, gives you a runaround and then sends you a broken unit.   

I am finding out that they have several complaints with the BBB.  Someone needs to see that this company goes out of business and taking innocent customer's money!    They should be prosecuted for this.  We will never get our money back from them and so far are out $555!   This is just criminal!!!
