I originally contacted Jerry on Oct. 23 to find out if he had any used refrigerators and to discuss the problem I had with my unit. He told me I would need a new cooling unit and that he had a refurbished Norcold 620 that I could get for 700.00 and that he had a special on shipping that week only for 50.00.

He told me he would send me an email with the payment information so after receiving the email I sent him the credit card payment of 750.00. I expected a reasonable shipping time would be 3 to 5 days from AR but didn't get a tracking number. Red flags coming up but I kept ignoring them trying to be patient and expecting nothing foul.

I called Jerry at one point and he told me the refurbishing process was taking place and would be shipped soon. I waited until Wed. Nov. 6 and still didn't hear anything or receive a tracking number. I began communicating by email. At this point he informed me that the igniter had to be ordered and that it would be completed and shipped on Thursday. I waited until the following Wed. Nov. 14 and emailed him again to inform him that I was going to file a dispute for the charges on my credit card if he didn't send me a tracking number. Well lo and behold, the repairman doing the repairs, a guy named James, emailed me and told me it would ship that day and I would receive a tracking number.

I received the unit and was relieved to finally get it. It looked great and I was anxious to get it installed. After getting it installed and all connected I started it up and began trying the different modes and soon found out that it was not operating in the AC mode. I began checking all my connections and found a manual online to start troubleshooting. I have considerable experience with electronics and electrical devices so I knew how to check the basic outputs and fuses, etc.

I emailed Jerry to ask him about the problem I encountered and he promptly replied, "Sounds like you need a new heating element". I'm thinking, why wasn't this noted during the refurbishing process? Anyway, I asked him if I could measure any resistance across the heating element and he sent me a message from his iphone saying "yes". That was the last I heard from him. All the diagnostics I performed said that the power board had to be replaced. I have emailed him several times to ask him about replacing the board and I even told him I would go half on a new one if I ordered it and the unit worked after I installed it. Complete silence. The cost out of pocket to repair it is 200.00. Jerry is very friendly and helpful until he gets your money. Don't let him deceive you like he did me.
