Like the Phrase goes "if its sounds too good to be true, it probably is" So I should have known better.

I bought the product late spring earley summer.

The Product is suppost to repair Bad head gaskets, and even cracked blocks. Not only did the product not work, It clogged up all kinds of things O2 senser, spark plugs, etc.

I followed the instructions to a TEE, I changed the oil, flushed the engine, changed spark plugs, everything. I applied the stuff into the radiator as instructed.

They claim you get a 100% money back guarantee, and tech support, I got nothing of the sort

they over-charged for the flush and fill kit, I'm willing to bet the product is no more revolutionary than the stuff you see at checker auto or something.

When I called to get tech support, they tried to make me feel stupid, then as I'm asking a question he starts snoring..I KNEW TO CUT MY LOSSES THEN AND JUNKED THE CAR!

EVEN IF THE PRODUCT WORKED, THEY DON'T DESERVE YOUR BUSNESS!!!!
STAY AWAY!!!!

Can you explain what you mean by the o2 sensors and the spark plugs were clogged up from using this product? Like what occurs when those parts get clogged up and how you use the product. Because i dont ever buy pour in repair fluids unless its being used a cheap last resort and whether or whether not it works isnt gonna matter because i fixed potentialy large and expensive repair by pouring a drink for the car..but nevertheless im curious to the issue's you experienced by pouring in a additive..looking forward to your response of your endeavours..thank you.

Thermagasket

I have used this product two times and it has been successful both times.  I have a 1989 Suburban with about 50k miles on this last engine - I love the car.  The first time I needed to use Thermagasket was after the car overheated before I noticed a slow leak in a hose.  That resulted in a vapor lock condition after replacing the thermostat.  I had a leak in the head gasket or cracked head - water was getting in the exhaust.

The condition worsened creating a large white smoke trail as I burned water.  After researching options  on the Internet i decided to try Thermagasket.  I could not afford anything else at the time.  It worked great and quicker than I expected.  It ran for over a year without a problem until I made a stupid mistake - not enough antifreeze - It got unusually cold where we live and I broke the shaft to my water pump without knowing and my car overheated again.  After having the water pump fixed I recognized the same problem as before - and it was my fault.

The condition was actually worse because I discovered steam coming out of my oil dipstick and increased volume on the stick - water in the oil.  I thought the engine was toast.  But after calling customer service as before and going over everything with them - they sent more product - free - and we fixed it again!  It has now been two months since that last fix, and after buying new spark plugs, my suburban runs like new!  Gas mileage is as high as it has ever been and I am very please what Thermagasket has done!

It saved me when I had no choice.  It is a great product and I will do whatever I can to uphold the integrity of their reputation.

The reason why it clogged everything up is because it is a metallic filler dispensed in a liquid, this product is only a bandaid, I tried this product and it only worked for a month then the problem got worse, I flushed everything out then I tried a new product called Steel Seal, Steel Seal is only half the price and it works, I tried Steal Seal and now my car is fine and running good now better than ever, it's been 5 months now and no problems. This product was also reccomended by many mechanics on the speed channel.

So far my experience with this company is positive - they were courteous informative and were sure that their product could fix my engine overheating problems and said that I'd get a refund if it doesn't. According to my mechanic (who called Thermogasket "mechanic in a can"), it's a process and I'll be driving around without a thermostat for two weeks. If I get another year out of my old clunker, I'll rejoice.

RxAuto Thermagasket Rebuttal

#7REBUTTAL Owner of company

Wed, May 28, 2008

My name is Kirk Malley and I am the Owner of RxAuto Thermagasket. I am the person whos name starts with a K that contacted Mr. Bourke about the situation he experienced with our company. I was the only person that he spoke with except for the original technical support rep. I can assure anybody reading this that he was never called any names. The situation was that Mr. Bourke called technical support at 3:00 am PST, it is our policy that our technical support be available after hours, it says in our instructions that tech support is available from 8:00 am PST to 7:00 pm PST Monday Through Sunday. Mr Bourke is obviously in another time zone so it is understandable that he called at 3:00 am. The tech support rep asked him to call back after 8:00 am pst thought he hung up set the phone down and went back to sleep, his cell phone did not hangup hence the snoring. We as a company strive to help our customers the best of our ability, and have thousands of customers that will vouch for the great technical support they have received. I am openly offering Mr.Bourke a refund all he needs to do is contact me.

RXAuto called me after they found out about the original Rip-Off Report.

The guy who called seemed reasonable at first; and led me to believe that he was going to send me a refund, because my car clearly did not work. He apologized for the the rude person I delt with; but explained they couldn't do anything to the guy. This is because I didn't remember the name of the the guy. I told him that was understandable.

He told me they're a "good company"; and wanted to know if there was anyway I could retract or update my statements in any way. I told him that if they would be willing to if they made things right by sending me my refund.

Anyway a couple of weeks later I called to see what the status was on my refund. This time I talked to a Kent or ken; I can't remember the name, but it started with a "K". He ask me what my name was.

As soon as he found out he said "Oh! Your that a-hole who slandered us on rip-offreport.com; trying to make us look bad". I replyed "Its the truth; and did no such thing".

I'm reasonably sure that was the guy who started to "Fake snore" when I was asking for tech support. In any case, I think my instincts at the time of the first OP, was the correct one.

That guy even said the owner of this site was a Rip-off artist himself. At any rate, the window for making things right has been closed for months. I wouldn't use RX Auto's product if they paid me to do so.
IMO; there protuct screwed my car up more than it was.

Personaly; I don't care if you use them or not. I just know I had a bad experience with them. Maybe you won't, if not; more power to you. Just keep your eyes open, and gaurd up if you do...
