This person has already been reported by others on here--he had used slightly different names in the other reports I see. This person, now using the Ebay name (that is still active at the time being) Veovissdf, is selling Walmart gift certificates for $200 in exchange for a cash payment of $150 through the Greendot network. I saw that he also sold a few other things that are of cash value to certain businesses. I sent him my payment, called him, and he assured me I would get my gift card info. He has stopped responding and is now receiving several bad feedbacks. This person has $150 of my money and is now not communicating--if anyone else knows anything I might be able to do, or you have a similar experience with this person, please contact me or post information. Thanks

From what I have read, the Hillsborough County Sherriff's Office in Tampa, FL is investigating the matter with this suspect, and needs any information you may have on him.

BTW, at last check his account was closed. He onky lasted a month this time.

As for the remarks you received, well, that happens. Unfortunately people like to blame the victim when it isn't their fault. It makes it hard for victims to come forward to stop the scams and cons. However, even the most intelligent and resourceful people who do all their homework can get scammed, particularly when they think they can't.

Ebay meaningless opinions posted to my report

#8Author of original report

Just to follow up so that I don't get a million meaningless opinions posted to my report, this person was selling one single Walmart gift card on Ebay when I came across the auction--he also had several positive feedbacks/no negative feedbacks under his belt. I have purchased a few other gift cards from other Ebayers without any problems--I have also sold my own unwanted gift certificates on there--I have made over 300 positive transactions on Ebay and there were nothing that led me to believe that this transaction would be any different from the others.

Well, actually being an avid ebayer, I have offered gift certificates for sale that I have received as gifts at lower prices because I wanted the cash to do other things, so thanks for your meaningless comment that doesn't really help matters at all

How could you expect anything different?

How do you legally obtain a $200 Walmart gift card for $150? Doesn't make sense. If a merchant is selling discounted Walmart gift cards, he certainly must have an "in" relationship few others in this country have with Walmart, of all places.
