Complaint Review: S&J Used Auto Parts

S+J Used Auto Parts, S&J Used Auto Parts, Findparts.com ripoff! Never delivered parts and charged my credit card. No refund after four months of leaving messages and getting the run-around. Ripoff! Saratoga Springs New York

I submitted a parts request online for a 92 Cadillac Eldorado front bumper back in July 2004 and recieved a reply from S&J auto parts saying they had my part in stock. I paid for the part with my credit card and was told I would recieve a tracking number via email.

A week later and no tracking number I called back and they said that the bumper they had was no good and they would try to locate another. One more week goes by and no bumper or message. I call back and state that I want a refund. I continue to call every couple of weeks and get excuse after excuse.

By now it's been more than 60 days and I can't get a refund through the credit card company.
Around December I noticed that they no longer answer the phone. Instead an anwering service takes the calls and emails the messages to them. A couple of times I recieved a voice mail from someone in the refund department saying they lost my paperwork and were still working on it.
As of 2 Feb and probably 50 unanswered messages I have had enough.

I contacted the BBB of NY and have found out that S&J has been removed as a member. I then contacted the small claims court in Saratoga Springs and requested a claim form to file with the court. Unfortunately it will probably require an appearance in person.
