S&V La Pour Diana Lepour & 'Sam' Diana Le Pour Sent Substandard Split $2,200 Diamond Rings Claims not to Have received them Back Los Angeles, California
We purchased two diamond rings, total value $2,200 from Dianas-Fine-Jewelry on ebay. S&V Lapour is a business run from Chinatown in LA. When they arrived they were both substandard and not as described. One diamond was actually split! We returned the items with tracking number and the items were delivered 10:46, July 14th.
Though she acknowledges that tracking shows these items as delivered, she claims not to have received these rings but that they were stolen from her doorstep where the Postman left them! USPS in her local Post Office verify that this is nonsense, that they would never leave packages with such high value to chance and that the rings were delivered as noted above. They have signiture confirmation on a waybill which they are finding for us.
Ebay have not been helpful at all and seem to wash their hands of responsiblity for the activities of their sellers. We have instituted mail fraud proceedings with both Canada Post and USPS and contacted her local law enforcement in order to force her to do the decent thing and pay us what she owes.
