Complaint Review: Sherry Adams

Sherry Adams of S&W Events is, a very slick con-artist who has ripped off several hard working small business men and women in the central florida area.

I'm hoping by filing this report, I along with several other vendors whom she has defrauded, will be able to not only stop her, but put her in prison.

I unfortunitly became familiar with Sherry Adams while searching the internet for events to make new business contacts.

I found Sherry's Facebook page announcing available vendor spots at Holiday events, which would be located in shopping malls throughout central florida.

After checking with one of the listed malls to confirm an event was indeed scheduled, I contacted Sherry to hold my spot for two events. I secured the Holiday event which was scheduled and took place in Jacksonville Florida, December 12-14th, 2014.

I, along with several other vendors who were at the Jacksonville Mall, were also scheduled to participate in the next event, pre-Christmas weekend in Ocala Fl. December 19-20, the busiest shopping days of the year.

I along with my business partners were preparing for this event when I received an email from Sherry Adams, on Thursday December 18th stating "Due to the issues from Jacksonville- We are cancelling this weekend event in Ocala-The location is bad and not good for vendors."

Her email also advised I would receive my refund for 3 days of vendor fees.

Fast forward...as of January 15th not only have I NOT received my funds back, Sherry Adams has disappeared! Her email, Facebook page,and phone numbers have all been cancelled.

The Ocala Mall management advised that they, like myself and all other vendors from this event were owed monies by Sherry Adams of S&W.  They stated Adams had not advised them she was cancelling the event. Mall management found out when a vendor called them with questions. They were preparing for the vendors on the date schedlued and advised they have as of this date been unable to locate or communicate with promotor Sherry Adams of S&W Events. 

It has been discoverd that her business address to which funds were mailed is listed as a vehicle detailing business. The owners were repoted as saying they dont know anything about Ms. Adams, however funds were being sent and collected at their address, indicating involment in this fraud.
