Complaint Review: Saban's Rent A Car

I rented a truck from Saban's for a few days to get some work done at my grandma's house while I was in Phoenix. The truck was a beater but worth the $129.00 that I was quoted.

When I returned the truck the price went to $226.00. I questioned the amount. They added insurance. I payed with AMEX as I usually do when renting a car. They normally cover. I was told that is not good enough and need an insurance card. I was going to fax the next day.

Then the guy started raising his voice at me and I questioned for what reason? He then started dropping the F bomb. "Get out of his f***ing office" , "You are a f***ing scumbag" , "You are F***ing trespassing."

Those were just some of the things he said to me. I asked why the language and his reply was "It is my First Amendment Right" (With another word added)

When I Asked for his name he told me "Mr. F***ing Saban, it is on the sign."

He then told me to get off the property or he would call the cops. If I was not so worked up I would have invited the suggestion. But I could not stay on the property any longer.

I did call the Phoenix PD and they offered to meet me back out on site. I was set to leave on a flight and did not have time.

I looked at the BBB and the company does not recognize complaints through the BBB. I still plan to call.

Called the AG office and disputing the additional cost on my AMEX.
