This breeder transports puppies and kittens in deplorable conditions. Back of van she uses looks as though farm animals are kept in it. She also smokes heavily around them which will affect the health of any puppy or kitten she produces. She breeds cats that have uterine infections, that are also of excessive breeding age risking their health.
She also breeds poodles of excessive age.
When her breeding animals or puppies and kittens get sick she destroys them instead of treating them.
This woman needs to be inspected for the sake of her innocent animals.

The report regarding SACHE CATTERY is untrue and lacks the facts. I have personnaly been to purchase a Cat from the CATTERY. All of her animals are well cared for, they are clean, up to date on shots and well groomed. Obviously the person that filed this report has not been on the premises of SACHE CATTERY.

I believe the word best to describe this complaint is libel, which is punishable by a law.

I have been working with Betty for some time now with regards to her poodles and cats. I have spoken with her at various levels, and I have seen umpteen pictures of her cats and dogs alike.

Anyone who is a pet owner, breeder, works with a breeder, or is a vet will know that it doesn't matter if you are a pet owner or breeder, issues can arise with your beloved animals. That's the way it is. And people get treatment. That's why we have vets. I have never heard of or seen a treatment left unattended by Betty with respect to her animals.

She also does not have them sitting in a barn somewhere without attention or love. They are loved and cared for in her house. People smoke around their kids, I suppose they should be thrown into jail. I also suppose that we should start capturing and spaying/neutering wild animals, because they should not be breeding at "excessive breed ages".

There are many reasons a breeder might want to breed past a prime. Often, tests cannot be performed until an animal is 2 or 3, as such, it's first litter would be around 4, having a second litter at 5. While I am not condoning puppy or kitten mills, Betty certainly does not operate a puppy or kitten mill (which by definintion is uncared animals that are bred cycle after cycle until they are too ill to breed any longer or they die).

I suggest that unless you have your facts straight with proof (pictures, reports, vet documents), that you should consider contacting your lawyer, because personally, if I were in Betty's shoes, that's what I would be doing to prosecute you against libel.

This report is simply not true. I was Betty's neighbor for over a year and I run an animal shelter for unwanted and abused animals. That's how we met. I have been to Betty's home on a number of occasions and visited with her cats and dogs. She takes excellent care of her animals. Her kittens and puppies are healthy. One of my persians was given to me from a friend who also breeds about 4 years ago at which time I had not met Betty and did not know the cat's parentage. It wasn't until I met Betty as my neighbor that I discovered the cat had come from her cattery. My cat has not had any health problems what so ever. My sister also had a cat (the brother to mine) which she had no problems with at all. When my sister was having personal problems, Betty kept my sister's cat for her for several months until she could get herself straight and charged her nothing. The cat was in excellent health when she came to pick him up and I checked on him several times and he was very content, happy, and well fed. Betty does not put her animals down unless it is absolutely necessary and she sees some of the same vets that I do. All cats reguardless of breed can get urinary tract infections. I have one now that seems to keep one all of the time reguardless of the medcines we use. Betty has also adopted from me a hunting dog and I can tell you that I would never let someone take one of my animals if I thought they wouldn't properly care for them. I check on him from time to time and he doing great. He's learned how to hunt again is very happy.
