Complaint Review: Sadia Niazi

Sadia Niazi rented me 1/2 of her studio apartment. I just found out that is not legal in the first place. Now, she rented to me from March to July and charged me a $900 security deposit. She was to return the deposit to me by the end of our arrangement, August 1 2014. At the end of June she stated to me in writing that she wanted to get a one bedroom with me in the building. Then on July 1 she stated that she was moving back home and I needed to find a place immediately and to pay her for July rent. I offered for her to keep the security deposit which is equal to the rent for my July rent granted that my 1/2 of the studio had no damages. I took pictures and there were no damages whatsoever. She bullied me to try to get me to give her rent and admitted that she had spent my security deposit. After back and forth were she harrassed me while I was at work and this is all in text messaging, she said if I moved out that night then she would give me my security deposit back. I then proceeeded to move all of my things out by 10pm on 7/1. She inspected the area and then asked me for my address where she could send the security deposit check of $900. I provided it to her and she agreed to send it to me immediately. On July 7 after not hearing from her , I sent her a text to ask when she would be sending my security deposit. She replied with a nasty message that she had talked to a lawyer and she would not be sending it to me. She stole $900 from me and I will take very action to get it back.
