Complaint Review: Safe Auto Insurance Company

I recieved a qoute (car insurance)from this company as well as others. there qoute was cheaper than the rest of the company's i contacted, so never the less i purchased the policy, i left town to attend to a sibling's life threatened illness and come back to find out that my policy was canceled due to my rate that was qouted has gone up due to there typo error in inputting the drivers license information, i quickley jumped on the phone with them to find out why and what was going on, after the run around for two days and speaking to several people in different departments, i was told why the policy canceled which was due to them requesting information or an additional down payment amount,

I was unaware of this cuase i was out of town. when ask why the additional there response was they got a miss on the DMV report ran to check my license when they went through the information they had thats when the problem was discovered. no problem i then went to another company thanks to GMAC Insurance services i was not charged the lapse in policy coverage that is usually assesed when this normally occurs, about a week ago i recieved a letter from safe auto staten that i owe an additional 62.00 for the cancelation of my policy on top of the down payment that was paid and not refunded ( 182.00, Even though they did not even have me covered for a full month (Approx. 1 1/2 weeks). And they have the nerve to send me a bill for 62.00 and haven't provided me anything but heart ache and almost tons of fees not only in insurance but also by the state of Georgia for not having insurance in their computer system.

If the qoute sounds nice from the company check to make sure that they have a legit underwriting authority and the final qoute is just that final and not no other hidden or impractical business tactics to take peoples money and not have to provide any service to them.
