Safe Auto Insurance Company ripoff-exorbitant fees,highest fees I've ever heard of, even though I bought policy, can't cancel it Columbus Ohio

Safe Auto charges fees for everything, $8 service fee to mail monthly payment. I acquired insurance policy.I had it put in my husbands name, since it is in his name I can't cancel it.(He has never even spoken with anyone from Safe Auto.) If he calls to cancel we will owe them another payment. with the $8 fee attached to that no doubt. Promise all kinds of discounts that never come thru.

When first got the policy charged $40 fee to get insurance. After had paid one month was told I would have got a discount if I had paid policy in full. When it was time to renew I paid the policy in full, was told they never heard of a discount for paying entire policy in full.

The first line of their payment options states, "avoid billing service charges by paying "ACCOUNT BALANCE" in full when your new or renewal policy is issued. If you pay in full, you may also receive an additional policy discount." Everytime you call they tell you something different. Policy has one price on it but it is never the amount you owe.

Today was told to just let policy lapse. If I let it lapse won't that make it look like I didn't pay? It just burns me because they are all so rude even their Customer Service Reps are Rude. They advertise cheap rates but they make up for it with fees.
