Complaint Review: SafeCart.com

SafeCart.com PC Help and Support Center-SpeedyPro Thought it was free so I downloaded it. After that, noticed a sign pop up that there was a $10 off coupon which made the purchase price $29.95 (option ends today but advertised in print as $29.95), Internet

pop up message from PC Help and Support Center (Microsoft). free download to check for errors and repair. So, I downloaded it and a screen came up saying the bill is $39.95.  I did notice a 'coupon' before I downloaded it, but with the message of a free scan....I felt I would still be given a choice to buy or not after the scan.  The coupon said it was $10.00 off through July 4th AND was advertised in another section as $29.95.  I filled in my credit card and was then sent a notice saying that my account was being charged $39.95 AND that it was being billed to a SafeCart.  Didn't get any detailed about the SafeCart.

All I want to do is to see if I can get my money back and then uninstall the program.  Is that possible??  I did see a message somewhere that said I can uninstall, but am afraid that if I do, I will lose BOTH the $39.95 AND the program. Tried to just contact the seller that I had just signed up with and couldn't find any where to do it.....made me very upset.  HELP!  Thanks very much .   Judith **** (((emails redacted))) have a great weekend... :)

I read the reports.  I have also noticed that you NEVER post anything helpful to the OP.  It doesn't matter who responds, they are automatically inducted into the FICTITIOUS Team Rebutt.

If you are really reading the reports, you will see that there are at least 19 member who always has a smart axx answer. Now one of the member who   corrects people claims to be using her cell phone to text, that why she has grammar errors. When the shoe is on the other foot, the world is wrong and Team Rebutt is the almighty. Have a nice day

As a member of this FICTITIOUS Team Rebutt, I hereby grand The Outlaw Josey Wales permission to post his advice for the OP.

The OP asked for "HELP" in all capital letters in the second to last line of his post.  I simply posted what I would do in his situation and offered some insight on exactly how these types of programs usually end up working out.

I hereby issue you a challenge to post better advice than I have posted.  If you can come up with better, more sound advice for the OP, I will close my account on ROR.

I am not a card carrying member of Team Rebutt, can't give advice. If you notice lately I'm not the only one who seems be annoyed by the Team. Have a nice day

Call your bank and report your card stolen.  Tell them you want to dispute the charge.  Also, request to have your card number and account number changed. SafeCart is just the service the company you bought the program from uses to process the payment.

As with almost all similar programs, the initial scan would have been free, then they would charge you for additional scans and/or any repairs needed.  Most of these paid programs will actually show a lot more errors resulting from the initial scan than are actually present in order to make you think you really need the repairs.

Have you actually noticed any differences in the way your system is running now versus the way it ran when you first got it?
